NSU to Renew In-State Rivalry
The RiverHawks (23-15) welcomes Rogers State (12-23) for a day of double headers to
close the series for the season. NSU holds a 1-0 lead in the series this year after defeating the
Hillcats 6-3 in Claremore.
NSU is sitting a little bit more comfortably in the season compared to Rogers State. Late
in the season the Riverhawks are fifth in the MIAA conference. Rogers State is ninth with only a
handful of games left.
Now we are just looking to finish strong and take a winning streak into the postseason,
said Jorge Ozuna, senior
NSU is still seeing the ball well hitting .321 as a team. Charles Sims junior infielder must
keep his pace of productivity hes had towards the tail end of the season. In 32 games played,
Sims has a batting average of .398 which leads the Riverhawks.
Rousey Field in Tahlequah is the site of the doubleheader April 21. First pitch of the day
is scheduled for 1 p.m.
