1. Deskripsi Mata Kuliah :
English for Academic purposes is English that will be used by biology science students to
understand more easily some resources (textbooks, recent journals) written in English and express
themselves in their understandable English (oral and or written) for formal communication, such
as: presenting their ideas in English, writing their own journal in English, and sharing them with
their friends) and write some research abstracts in English. In this part, students will be supported
to better understand their structure used and how to translate in good Indonesian. Part of speech
will be also one of the foci of this class.
2. Tugas: Tugas Individual : developing some reflective journals of what students already
understand and how to improve their learning
Tugas Kelompok : students in groups read and translate Biology materials in English as well
as present their understanding of them before class.
