STUDY PLAN
My name is Mochammad Adji Firmansyah, graduate student from Information
System Department, Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember, Indonesia. I have good
academic records and active join in several organizational activities which increase my
leadership skill, such as; managing work, adaptability, decision making, and initiating
action. In my organization, I am responsible to manage music and sports training
schedule in Information System Department, sharing with employees to add facilities that
student need. I also join several course to increase my ability in database, english. I
always interested with something new such as cultures, meet other people. In my
opinion understanding the other cultures and languages, we can communicate and
understand each other and also help us to broaden your perspective and knowledge.
I am interested in several topics of Decision Support System and Intelligence
Business such as Geographic Information System, Data Mining, Operation Research. The
topic of my previous research was on Geographic Information System in mobile Android
for mapping cow desease. This time, in my opinion, The Development of Mobile
applications is growing rapidly, mobile application can accelerate data distribution system
while moving freely, can connect to a different network location. I really want to develop
an mobile application which has many benefits and can be applied to organizations. I am
also interested in data mining, database management system and data warehousing that
can be applied to analysis data and support to make a decision.
To support my interests, I require a higher education and I see opportunities at the
National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) that open opportunity for
master degree, because there are some professors who might be able to help and guide
me to implement my research interests. Based on the information I got from the NTUST
website, Department of Information Management in the field of Information and
Technology and Applications (ITA) is the best place for me to get an education,
information and do research. There are several Professors related to my interests,
especially Professor Yung-Ho Leu who have research in Mobile Computing, Data Mining,
Bioinformatics, Ad Hoc Networks, and he also teach Mobile Computing, Database
Management Systems, Advanced Database Management Systems, I am interested with
his interest research in Mobile Computing, Data Mining, and i hope can doing research
guided by Profesor Yung Ho-Leu.
I believe in the two years I will be able to complete my Master study at NTUST and
finish my research. I have a plan in the first year, I will learn about the research professor
who has a topic in Mobile Computing, Data Mining. I will ask my professor to help me
about the topic, and also do some individual research to get a lot of information as much
as I can such collect international journal that related to my topic, increase ability in
programming, and in the second year, I will do my reasearch full time and can finish my
research on time. I hope something new will come up when I do some research and make
benefit to other people who learn mobile computing or data mining.
