What is magkasuyo?
Originated from Quezon is a simple and easy dance calledmagkasuyowhich
literally means good friends or sweethearts. It maybe danced in any
occasion.

Costume girl wears balintawak style costume while boy wears barong
tagalog and white trousers
Music composed of two parts: A and B
Count one, two, three to measure
Formation partners stand opposite each other about six feet apart. Girl
stands at the right side of the boy when facing the spectators

What are the basic dance steps of magkasuyo?

Execution
1. Arms in Lateral Position
Both arms at one side, either
sideward right or left
2. Cross waltz
Cross R foot over L foot, close L foot
to R foot, step R foot close to L foot

Step forward, passing each others
