The Safe House

The Safe House is a place you can get away from someone who is trying to harm you. We
provide a hidden number that people can call to be picked up on any corner and brought back to
the secret location. Once weve enrolled the victim we get them settled in a room and start the
counseling process. Once weve gotten a clear picture on what the victim wants to do now, we
then set some goals for them and give them the resources to get them done. We provide
transportation to and from work. We also will have a daycare set up for those who have children.
This helps to confuse the assaulter when trying to see if the kids are still at the same daycare.
What we want to do is help restart people lives that are endanger. We want to help make this
situation as smooth as possible for those who are serious. The program will be funded by
donations taking at valid sites such as The Salvation Army.
We are a non-profit organization. The great thing about this program that we get to saves

The

lives, and help those who want to be help. Of course there are some rules. Once weve set down
and written out some goals and then make a program list. This included how long you will be
able to stay what is required of your daily tasks. You must follow the steps that you and your
counselor have set down and written out. Once thats done you will have a daily routine to do to
get you closer to completing the program. There really isnt a limited get how long can stay but
we want to be able to get family situated fast without causing too much stress on the children.
We will relocate the family to a different state if so be it. One of our missions is to provide an
alternative to living in a violent situation and to offer education and resources necessary for
intervention and prevention of violence and to help victims make healthier choices for
themselves and their families.

The Safe House

After the being death of 3-year-old Jeida Torres in a Brooklyn shelter, a city councilwomen is
introducing legislation requiring homeless families to be shown a video and given information
about domestic violence before being admitted to a city shelter. Under the bill, sponsored by
councilwomen Elizabeth Crowley, the Department of homeless Service would have to show
videos and distribute brochures on both intimate partner violence and child abuse. Shelter
residents must be schooled on what behavior will not be tolerated, while victims will be more
likely to realize they can seek help, Crowley said. Kelsey Smith is charged in the death of his
stepdaughter Torres last Saturday. He claimed he was attempting to discipline her with a whack
to the back and did not mean to hurt her (Durkin, Wednesday, October 22, 2014, 5:55pm) I
personally think this was cruel and selfish. Thats why having another place to call home is just
what the doctor order. You dont have to go through it with no one even if your family is on his
side and no one is concern about your wellbeing. You hide out from everyone and start over.
There are thousands of families now going through domestic violence and is afraid of being
homeless or not being able to take care of their children. Sometimes the excuses can get
ridiculous, worrying about if your child is going to have a father which I think is over rated.
They know that every 15 seconds a women in the United States is battered and, on
average, more than three women a day are murder by husbands or boyfriends. They know that
they face an uphill battle. Just this week, St. Petersburg police said a local man bludgeoned his
wife to death (Harper, 6:57pm Monday, November 3, 2014). This is the sickness that I been
talking about. We have to stop the violence, but sometimes I know that people like to be abuse
(which is gross). Its funny We are doing a better job of understanding why someone chooses to
stay, and how dangerous it may be for them when they attempt to leave. We are talking about
victim blaming and, through understanding awareness, maybe we are beginning to see a shift

away from blaming the people who was violently attacked and instead looking at the person
responsible for the violence. This organization would be very beneficial to a lot of families trying
to get a grip on life and stand up for whats right for their children. 85% of domestic violence
shelters work with women who have been GPS-tracked by their abuser. 75% have clients who
were attacked with hidden mobile surveillance apps, cops routinely steal and share nudes selfies
from the phones of women pulled over in traffic stops, and NSA spies use agencys massive legal
surveillance apparatus to stalk women when they were sexually attracted to, a practice that was
dubbed Loveint (Doctorow, 2014) I cant stand a crazy man.
We will continue to look at ways to strengthen are laws and research, ways to prevent
violence in the home. Education about domestic violence brings understanding to the problem
and alerts us to signs of abuse. We must ask questions when we suspect domestic violence, even
if we do not want to embarrass the person. The Safe House is a place to build and to get your
nerves back, cause after dealing with a fool you would have done lose your mind and your Kool.
I have been in a domestic violence situation and it wasnt easy walking away, but it wasnt hard
either. I couldve stayed there and ended up killing somebody or go and get help and, thats
exactly what I did. I got for me and my children and relocated to Georgia, where nobody knows
my name. A new life a fresh start. My boys are more relaxed, Im more relaxed were able to talk
to one other without feeling afraid of what someone would think of our relationship, and what I
mean by that is that my spouse would get jealous of my relationship with my boys, so you know
I had to get rid of that sucker and focus on me and mine. Maybe one day know itll be when my
kids are grown and gone and it wont be with a NUT. I made it out and it feels so good not to be
worried about something I shouldve done sooner. I do regret wasting time in that environment

and whats worst I had my children there to witness the foulness. I hope and pray they forgive
me. I was young, dumb, and you know the rest.
