Active, persistent and careful consideration of a belief or supposed form of

knowledge in the light of the grounds which support it and the further conclusions
to which it tends - a definition given by John Dewey, the father of modern critical
thinking tradition.Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of
actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or
evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience,
reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action. In its
exemplary form, it is based on universal intellectual values that transcend subject
matter divisions: clarity, accuracy, precision, consistency, relevance, sound
evidence, good reasons, depth, breadth, and fairness. Critical thinking examines
assumptions, discerns hidden values, evaluates evidence, and assesses
conclusion.Critical thinking skills also includes the aspect and the skills of
observation, the way of interpret and analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation
and finally the meta-cognition.
A good sense level of general agreement exist among the group of elites or we
call expert either in group or in the individual form, involvement in strong critical
thinking gives due consideration to the evidence through the skills of observing
,the context of judgment, the criteria needed for making the judgment and
decision accurately, methods or techniques that can be applied for shaping the
judgment in ones mind set and the last one is the usable constructs of theory
needed for understanding the problem and the question at hand

To own a strong critical thinking skills in ones mind , one must be exposed more
to the problems and decisions in daily life and try to solve it out by using those
skills of critical thinking. Critical thinking requires not only logical aspects but
broad intellectual criteria such as clarity, credibility, accuracy, precision,
relevance, depth, breadth, significance and fairness.
Critical thinking is also an important manual of all professional fields and
academic disciplines. Inside the structure of scientific skepticism, the processes
of critical thinking involves the careful act of aiming and reading of information
and turn it to reach a proper justified conclusion. The concepts and principles of
critical thinking is appealable to any context or case after looking back upon the
type of that application. Critical thinking is also considered important in the fields
of academic. It is used to analyze, evaluate, explain, and reorganize their
thoughts, therefore lowering down the risk or thinking without the processing of
thought . However, even though a thinker obtained the ways logical inquiry and
reasoning, mistakes can occur due to a thinker's inability to apply the methods or
because of characteristic of the thinker himself. Given research in cognitive
psychology, some educators believe that schools should focus on teaching their
students critical thinking skills and cultivation of intellectual traits rather focusing
more on the academic field which only develop their mind in the aspect of
knowledge ,not development of mentality instead.
As a conclusion,Critical thinking of any kind is never universal in any individual;
everyone is subject to episodes of undisciplined or irrational thought. Its quality is

therefore typically a matter of degree and dependent on , among other things, the
quality and depth of experience in a given domain of thinking or with respect to a
particular class of questions. No one is a critical thinker through-and-through, but
only to such-and-such a degree, with such-and-such insights and blind spots,
subject to such-and-such tendencies towards self-delusion. For this reason, the
development of critical thinking skills and dispositions is a life-long endeavor.
