Yemen (lack of awareness)

Respected staff and students,

I feel more than privileged to be given this opportunity to inform you on issue that is destroying Yemen.

First, I want to ask you a simple question, have ever heard about a country that calls Yemen? I think
most of you not. In short Yemen is one of Arab country, located in Arab peninsula, next to Saudi Arabia.
It represents the only democratic country on the Arabian Peninsula. It is facing serious political, social,
and economic challenges. Because the primary social unit of the Yemen's social structure is the tribe,
scholars exploring Yemeni politics have often assumed that tribalism plays a negative role in the political
life, thus exacerbating the problems the country faces

To enter to my topic, generally in Yemen most of the people live as a tribe and this tribe has own leader,
call (sheikh). This Sheikh control l all the things inside the tribe and no one can do what he/she wants
First, they have to get permission from the leader of tribe e. g traveling, studying and wedding and so
on... The rule people in the tribe should do what sheikh tells them whatever he says, they have to do it
like fighting with other tribes even there is no problem just for sharing power or because of revenge that
happened before for example someone from has tribe killed by someone from another tribe, even he
killed by mistake there is no Consciousness, if there is consciousness there is no fighting.

Further complications

Tribal life affects Yemenis negatively and makes them defend their relatives even if they are not
right. According to that in most of the tribes, there is no school no hospital and even police
center. For those reasons, people are illiterate and health conditions are threatened. On the
other hand people are poor. Some of them they cannot find something to eat, look how big
problem it is, at the same time they follow the leader of tribe and when it is time to election for
president or preliminary they cannot vote the person who the trust by. They just wait to the
Sheikh to tell them who they should vote to; even this person is not good they follow him. Dear
all, if we just ask ourselves who are the responsible by this big issue? Most of us will say the government
I am totally sure the problem is the government then whom else? Are not no government organizations
(NGO)? Are not we? Dear all I cannot say there is no government organizations, there are but still few.
However those organizations, they are doing the best but they need a lot of money and
encourage, from who? I think we can do that? Cannot we?
In particular those organizations, they give recommendation in education, they help to build
school in some areas, they support families who do not have any jobs or work, they go to deep
areas that government does not tack care. They are starting to give advice to people how the
education is most important? They use every thing that they have to try to help those people in
Yemen especially who live in tribe but it is still default.

Fellow students and staff, together we can offer service to those organizations which they are working
in Yemen through donation to those organizations. We can donate to their by Internal bank, count
SOUL 1111 @Yemen and developing women and child in Yemen.

Thank you for listening
