3.4.4 Summary of the Learning
3.4.4.1 Skills and Qualifications Learned during Internship
During the six weeks of the internship the weakness which I observe in Mehran
Enterprises is that short number of employee and branches there is only one branch
of Mehran Enterprises in Gujranwala zone and there are 25 employees in this zone.
There is no job training to the employee the behavior of the employee is not so good
toward the customer because the staff is not technical trained and due to short
number of employee the responsibilities of the employee is share between the
department therefore they cannot perform their duties well. The decision making is
centralize and that create the distance between higher and lower level and create
stress on employee.
During the internship I fell that there is a bridge between educational and
professional life The thinks that we read and observer now has implemented
practically it is necessary for us to show our skills the task and assignment which is
assigned us during educational life is very helpful in professional life and show us the
new way of innovation and success
Mehran Enterprises aware their target audiences about their new and existing
product through different media the staff work together as a team together every one
and achieve more that create motivation and synergy the staff is highly qualified.
Mehran Enterprises also provide the online transitions for their customer to get the
account information bills collection money transfer their ideas make it stronger
against their competitor the future perspective of Mehran Enterprises is bright and it
will open new ways of success.
The following are the skills that I got a chance to practice in the practical
environment.
3.4.4.1.1

Interpersonal Skills

This is most common and one of the most important skills during my internship
period. This skill helps a person to interact with others in much better and pleasant
manner. It is an art to present ones views, thoughts, and ideas before its
listeners. During my internship period it helped me to build good rapport with the
other employees who guided me in the best possible manner. My interaction and
dealings with the customers helped me to broaden my social network.
3.4.4.1.2

Communication Skills

Communication means exchange of messages between people for the

purpose of achieving common meanings. It is an art to make information flow
smoother. Today it is very necessary to communicate well especially in
organizational sector and especially for those who are seeking information. My
communication skills gave me self-confidence while interacting with everyone else.
Page 28

Mehran Enterprises
3.4.4.1.3

Conceptual Skills

I used my conceptual skills to gain an insight into the working of the oganization: how
the work is done? What are the problems? Their relative contribution to the economy
as a whole.
3.4.4.1.4

Stress Management Skills

As this internship was my first experience in a practical environment so I faced a lot

of mental strain in terms of adapting to the new work environment, practical learning,
cope with the challenges faced etc. using my stress management skills I was
able to list priorities and work accordingly.
3.4.4.1.5

Time Management Skills

During my internship period I have learnt punctuality and the significance of time in
an organization. I have realized that time management is an important element of
work. My practical learning has taught me to prioritize and organize my work
according to schedule that enabled me to complete my tasks in the allotted time.
3.4.4.1.6

Human Skills

I learnt the human skills in true manner. Human skills associated with an employees
ability to work well with others both as a member of a group as well as individual
leader who gets things done through others.
3.4.4.1.7

Self-Control

Our ability to exercise control over our own behavior by setting standards and
providing consequences for our own actions refers to self-control. As an internee this
skill is really important because an internee does not have much of authority.
3.4.4.1.8

Co-Ordination

Co-ordination means the smooth flow of work that must be carried on consistently
and systematically without any breakage. In a environment like sales there is need
for integration making co-ordination an essential environment. As an internee it is
necessary to co-ordinate well with supervisors and co-workers.
3.4.4.2 Responsibilities Learned during Internship
During the internship when I was working in sales and customer service department
the task which is assigned to me is that to fill the voucher, get orders and
conformation of the delivery. one day I was working a customer came and provide
me the necessary information and fill the order form and his bank account number
etc. after some time he came and make a noise using bad language and violent
behavior and so rude all the staff gather and regional manager listen his point of
view give him a cup of tea and fill the order form in fact he is wrong and he gave the
wrong information about the account number but the regional manager listen his
point of view and fill order form and he follow-up with the customer after the fact, the
point is that dont ignore the customer listen him be patience and tray to follow up.

4 Conclusion and Recommendations
After spending six weeks at different departments of the organization, interacting
with the employees, getting their views, observing the organizational activeties, I
have come up with the following suggestions that in my view, will definitely improve a
few weaknesses observed in the bank by me.

4.1 Increase number of distributors and employee

It is necessary for Mehran enterprises in Gujranwala zone to increase number of
distributors and increase number of employee in their area otherwise company can
face difficulty if any employee is turnover and there is only twenty eight employees in
the whole zone of Gujranwala.

4.2 Flexible Policies

The company should be adopting flexible policies, especially in the areas of the
recruitment, promotions, evaluation of the employees otherwise the high turnover
observed in the company will continue to create problems for the organization now
and in the future.

4.3 Job security

The employees in the organization should be insured job security so that there is no
pressure on the employees while performing their tasks.

4.4 Permanent Hiring

The fresh hiring should be made permanent so that they are secured of their future.
Further the allowances and perquisites attached with the permanent jobs will also
increase the motivation level of the employees.

4.5 Job Training Programs

The company should place emphasis on the organization of effective training and
development programs for its new as well as existing employees so that these are
gradually updated regarding the recent developments in the field of modern trading
and manufacturing.

4.6 Perquisites and Allowances

The number of allowances and perquisites for the employees should be increased to
ensure that they put their body and soul in the jobs assigned to them.

4.7 Revival of the Claims

The duration for the various claims provided by the customers should be brought
down a bit, as it would result in increase in the number of customers of the company.

4.8 Adoption of Effective technology

The current unbind system used by the organization is very slow in processing so my
view is that the company should try to adopt some other but more effective form of
technology in order to provide comfort to the customers as well as the staff.

Page 30

Mehran Enterprises
4.9 Decentralize Decision making
Decentralization management rather than centralized management it would result in i
The higher authorities should form team-based improvement in uplifting the morale
of the employees. They will be more motivated and involved in all their operations
resulting in overall effectiveness of the organization.
If Mehran enterprises follow these guideline it can create strong identity in the market
and achieve new ways of success and company can also achieve their objective
vision and mission my conclusion and recommendation is based on my finding which
I gather during internship period personnel observation and data which I gather both
primary source and secondary source .organization has to overcome their weakness
and avail the opportunity to create a strong image worldwide.
