PRIOR ANALYSIS CREATIVE LABS

Creative Lab will be conducted under the leadership model "creative team”, which is
developed by HRYO - Human Rights Youth Organization for the achievement of all those
projects that require the activation of creativity and socialization among the members of a
group. The aim is to give participants the opportunity to test themselves in a working group,
observing the implicit or explicit rules (adequately identified by the coach driver).

This will allow participants to express their creativity reflecting together on the three fixed
themes that will be explained later.

In order to create the foundations of a healthy social fabric (in our case European
citizenship), residents must be able to express their ideas and their own reflections, to reach
a common perspective that is beneficial to everyone. To do this, the creative lab must take
account of any difficulties in these processes, but we believe there are not many and they are
almost all attributable to the psychological barriers of individual participants. The creative
lab provides the figure of a coach driver, able to manage group dynamics and strengthen the
creative and social attitudes of the participants; coach driver will also resolve possible
conflicts with the group of targeted interventions.

Interventions aim to encourage members to reflect on the causes of conflicts; thus the
possible conflict as an obstacle can be transformed into a resource. Other resources of the
laboratory in addition to creative conflict transformation in elements of analysis, are surely:

• Enable the creative ability of the subjects;

• Improving the social sense of self-efficacy;

• Improve the sense of self-determination;

• Improve the sense of respect for the rules of civil life, social relations and the
condition of Europe;
• Improve knowledge and understanding of human rights and their own racial
prejudices;;

• Improve the understanding and production strategies to avoid exclusion and hostility
toward immigration;

• Reflect and realize all the meaning of “being young in Europe”.

Environment of the laboratories have to be comfortable; it need chairs that will be arranged
in a circle and a blackboard where the driver will make annotations in the pipeline.

The material must therefore include:

• N° XXX of chairs;

• N° XXX of markers;

• N° XXX of papers;

• N° 1 blackboard.

As for the advantages that will benefit the participants of the group, the first is to
understand the concept of human rights, they will be able to recognize some of their
automatic racial prejudice and with the help of the coach they will learn to discern the
negative effects they have within a multiethnic community.

putting in place the phenomenon of social exclusion that if happens will be adequately
handled by the coach and the external commission, that we remember is an organ of a
creative lab designed to monitor labor standards and to help the coach, which should not
alone bear the entire load caused by emotional and cognitive activity of this type.

Within each laboratory it will be creative products of paper materials where will be
collected all the ideas generated by the group during the activity; later this material will be
assessed by external commission; after carefully reading the material, external commission
gives some suggestions to coach. It should be noted that external commission is the most
suitable (not participating in the external laboratory and not having direct contact with the
youth group) compared to the coach, to assess whether the final product has a good degree
of realism and adherence to purpose of the whole project.
