Seminar Description:
Your local Cisco representatives will present an overview of the Nexus 9000 technology,
positioning and competitive differentiation. They will explain how to incorporate the
Nexus 9000 into modern data center network design, which will lead into the following
lab session.
Lab Description:
This is an Instructor led program with a focus on Nexus 9000 programmability and
automation. This course is designed for engineers with little to no programming
experience and will provide the context for the DevOps movement, its motivation, and
business benefits. In addition to a brief overview of the Nexus 9000 product family, it
will delve into the programmability capabilities of the Cisco Nexus 9000 including
Python, Chef, and GitHub among other popular tools.
After this course you should be able to:
Understand todays development and IT operational model and the need for
change
Understand DevOps Principles, Concepts, and Tools
Understand the Nexus 9000 product family
Understand the programmability features of Cisco Nexus 9000
Gain hands-on experience implementing the programmability and automation
capabilities of the Cisco Nexus 9000
Prerequisites
Some familiarity with NX-OS
Some familiarity with the Linux command line
