Business
Essentials
Gain English business skills at a top Vancouver college,
then put them into practice with a work experience
Overview
By participating in the Business Essentials Program, you will gain not only a
chance to work in Vancouver, one of Canadas most dynamic cities, but you will
also learn strategic business management skills, and strengthen your business
English level academically and professionally.
This course is designed to increase your familiarity with marketing, presentations,
public speaking skills, business communication, resumes and job interviews in
North America. Having a higher-level qualification from a Canadian-recognized
college, along with a work experience, will allow you to become more confident,
thrive in your career, and succeed in the workplace.
The program is divided equally into two components: for the first 50% of the
program you will study, and in the next 50% of the program you will gain
relevant work experience. Programs are 6, 8, or 12 months in length. This
program is open to citizens of all countries and start dates are staggered
throughout the year.
In addition, you may also work part time while studying for the entire duration of
your program. This will enable you to earn money to support your stay in Canada.
What's included?
Program Terms
The Business Essentials Program includes a period of in-class study at a top
Vancouver college, and following this, you will start a period of work experience.
This could be either an unpaid professional internship or a paid casual job; both
of which are ideal to develop and perfect your practical skills.
Moreover, you can work part-time up to 20 hours/week during the whole duration
of the program; perfect to earn money and pay off your living expenses (rent,
food etc.).
