GENERAL
This project calls for the supply, installation, & construction of ZCWD Third
Floor Renovation Project. It is therefore the responsibility of the winning
bidder to supply the required materials & construct in accordance to the
plans & specifications of ZCWD. All responsibilities as to the integrity of the
design & construction method rest with the contractor.
This project is intended to provide more convenient means to the employees
in performing daily work activity.
The proposed project shall be undertaken in accordance with the
established standards set by the National Building Code of the Philippines
and other pertinent standards set forth under Philippines Laws, Rules and
Regulations.
All electrical works shall be done in conformity with Philippine Electrical
Code (PEC) and the standards of the local power utility. Proper color coding
shall be observed. Grounding system must likewise be required as
stipulated in the Philippine Electrical Code.
All mechanical works shall be done in conformity with Philippine
Mechanical Code (PMC).
Completion of works is for One Hundred Ninety Eight (198) calendar days.
Curing period of cement for all necessary concrete works shall be included
in the one hundred ninety eight (198) calendar days.
In securing permits from Government Agencies all processing fee and bonds
shall be considered incidental expenses and shall be shouldered by the
winning bidder.
All necessary permits, clearances and other documents necessary for the
implementation of the project to include incidental expenses shall likewise
be done by the contractor.
All structural concrete must at least develop the minimum required

METHODOLOGY
Minimize impacts to freight mobility within the vicinity by placing a high
priority on maintenance of traffic and public safety.
Implement the Project in a manner sensitive to the communities and
achieve enhanced environmental performance and comprehensive
environmental compliance.
Stimulate the local economy by maximizing local business participation in
delivering the Project.
Maximize use of minority or local business enterprises.
Proactively engage communities and Stakeholders in execution of the
Project from planning to construction.
Develop and implement an effective Quality Program.
Achieve rapid initiation and timely completion of construction.
Provide cost-effective solutions and cost-containment methodologies.
Increase work zone safety with engineering improvements and enhanced
awareness through public information.
Minimize life-cycle cost of the product.
Any additional project goals will be identified in the Special Provisions.
Main Responsibilities of the Contractor in Design, Construction, and Quality
Management - The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor,
material, plant, equipment, services and support facilities for the following:
o Construction

o Project-related Public Information activities
o Coordination with Project stakeholders, other contractors, and

GENERAL
All Installation works shall be done in a thorough and workmanlike manner
in accordance with the Detailed Plans and Specifications with the presence
of ZCWD project in charge. The Contractor shall supply the required
Equipment/Materials and all other Accessories that shall conform to the
specifications below, necessary for the construction of the third floor
renovation project.
The contractor shall also provide as-built plans and details of the project. All
materials must to be brand new. Expenses for the use of power supply
during the construction and testing of mechanical equipment shall be done
by the contractor. All installation works shall commence only after thorough
inspection has been conducted by the ZCWD.
The contractor should provide electrical materials, tools and equipment
needed during the installation & testing of mechanical & electronic
equipment. All materials are in accordance with Philippine National
Standards, Philippine Electrical Code and Philippine Society of Mechanical
Engineer (PSME) Code.
CIVIL WORKS
The Bidder/Contractor shall prepare the structural design and plan for the
additional civil works which are the extension of elevator shaft at the roofdeck and the construction of elevator machine room.

Walls for the toilet area shall be of 300mm. x 300mm. ceramic tiles
with application of 12mm. wall topping before tile installation. Tile
grout color shall conform to the color of ceramic tiles.
o Fabrication and Installation of Cubicle
Cubicle Partition
All cubicle partition shall be 20mm. thick MDF (Medium Density
Fiberboard) Melamine Board with 20mm. thick marine plywood for
horizontal and vertical studding and for nailer. Edging for 20mm.
thick melamine shall be 2mm. thick x 20mm. PVC Banding Tape
(for MDF Melamine). Edging color shall conform to the color of
melamine board.
Cubicle Partition with Glass
All cubicle partition with glass shall be 6mm. thick clear glass with
100mm. x 44mm. analok aluminium partition frame and with
10mm. analok aluminium glass clipper.
Cubicle Table
All top board shall be 30mm. thick MDF (Medium Density
Fiberboard) Melamine Board, use 30mm. PVC T- Moulding for edge
banding. Edging color shall conform to the color of melamine top
board. And 20mm. thick MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)
Melamine Board shall be use to base board, drawer board, cubicle
board, and frame. Edging shall be band with 2mm. thick x 20mm.
PVC Edge Banding Tape with the use of heating tools or Portable
Edge Banding Machine. To fastened melamine board use 2 inches
Flat Head Wood Screw with the chemical application of glue for
melamine.
Drawer and Cabinet
For cabinet frame, drawer frame and nailer shall be 20mm. thick
marine plywood and for drawer floor shall be 6mm. thick marine
plywood, fastened with finishing nail.
o Fabrication of Office Table

All office table shall be 20mm. thick marine plywood for siding,
drawer siding, top board and drawer frame. Nosing for top board
shall be 25mm. x 25mm. Lauan Wood or equivalent hard wood and
for siding nosing shall be 25mm. x 50mm. Lauan Wood or
equivalent hard wood. Front table siding must be provide with
upholstery cloth. Each drawer must have drawer lock, drawer
handle and drawer roller slide.

MECHANICAL WORKS
o Fire Sprinkler
a. The third floor fire sprinkler piping branch shall be tap to the
existing 100mm B.I. main riser column fire sprinkler pipe.
b. Sprinklers systems are engineered to meet the standards of NFPA
13 (National Fire Protection Association), FM global loss
prevention council (FOC), or other similar organizations, and will
also need to comply with the provisions of governmental codes,
ordinances, and standards where applicable.
c. The system provides fixed fire protection using piping filled with
pressurized
Water supplied from a dependable source at all times.
d. The systems pendent sprinkler head must be chrome finished.
e. All piping system must be B.I. Pipe, Schedule 40 ASTM A- 106 GRADE B.
f. The contractor shall provide 30 HP Centrifugal pump with motor. The
pump will be tapped to the existing control panel of the jockey
pump. The pump discharge will be also tapped to the existing fire
sprinkler discharge line.
o Smoke alarm
a. The smoke alarm detector shall be 220-240 ac powered with battery as
backup power.

All electrical works shall be done in accordance with all the requirements of
the latest issue of the Philippine Electrical Code with the rules, regulations,
and ordinances of the local enforcing authorities of Zamboanga City.
OTHER FEATURES
The elevator system must be loaded with the following features:
The elevator should be installed with a CCTV camera, which must also be
connected to the existing ZCWD CCTV system
The car must be with Emergency Car Lightning (ECL)
The car must also have built-in 3-way intercom system
