AirstandsforAdjustmentbyInfraRed:itisacontactlesscontrol.
TheDJplaceshisorherhandflatovertheinfraredbeam.
Thecontrollercalculatesthedistancebetweenthesensorandthehand,andconvertsitintoagradualMIDI
command.
ThisMIDIcommandmodulatesasettingintheDJsoftware.

No,Aircontrolfunctionsunderanylightconditions.
Theinfraredlightbeamprojectedtowardsthehandisinvisible.
Thesensorcapturestheinfraredreflectiononthehand,andusesthereflectiontocalculatethehands
distance.
Thereflectionisthesameinbothdaylightandlowlightconditions,allowingAircontroltobeusedduringthe
day,atnightorinplaceswithweaklighting.
Aircontrolfunctionswithallfleshtones.Theonlyincompatibilityistheuseofblackgloves(astheinfrared
sensorwouldnotbeabletodetectthereflection).

Withscratchmodeenabled,thejogwheelsscratchwhenthehandsweightisdetected,andstopscratching
whenthehandsweightisnolongerdetected.ThisallowstheDJto:
stopplaybackbypressingonthejogwheel.

bendthepitch(ifplaybackison)/browsewithintracks(ifplaybackisoff)byturningthejogwheels

turned,regardlessofthepressureapplied.

Jogwheel
InDJing,ajogwheelisawheelsimulatingthefunctionofaturntable(alsocalledavinyldeck),andcanbeused
tocontrolplaybackofaCD,DVD,MP3playerorcomputer.Ajogwheelisusedtonavigatewithinapiece,to
speeduporslowdowntothemusicortoproducesoundeffectssuchasscratching(thesoundmadebya
