Review all residential and conference service policies set out by UC Santa Barbara, and ensure
that participants are abiding by them.
Ensure that all participants in assigned group are following program agenda. (i.e. wake up time,
meals, lights out, etc.).
Communicate with summer program coordinator and executive director about any concerns or
issues that arise during the program.
Work with other Program Leaders to develop activities for participants throughout the program
(i.e. ice breakers, game night, movie night, leadership activities, etc.)
Actively engage in conversations with program participants around the topics of college
readiness, majors, college experience, etc.
Work with summer program coordinator and executive director to plan and execute educational
excursions.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, in-service activities, and individual meetings with
supervisor; work as member of program staff.
Qualifications/Eligibility
Must have a cumulative 2.5 grade point average to be eligible for application.
Must not hold other employment on or off campus during the employment period.
Student staff members hired for the summer must attend job orientation meetings conducted the
week prior to the camp.
