BRT representative who will assist you with check in please
call her when you are about 20 minutes away from the airport.
Upon arrival
Begin check-in process and head through security.
EVERYONE needs to bring a picture ID . Keep them handy
throughout check-in and security processing.

Arrive at Ellis Island ~ More than 12 million immigrants made
their first stop
in America at the Ellis Island Immigration
Station between 1892 and 1954. In
fact, more than 40
percent of Americans can trace their family history back to
Ellis
Island.

3:30 PM Depart to Battery Park via the ferry (you will pass Liberty Island)

Walk up to the 9/11 Memorial
This 16-acre site features two enormous waterfalls and
reflecting pools, each
about
an acre in size, set within the
footprints of the original twin towers. Its design
conveys a spirit
of hope and renewal, and creates a contemplative space
separate
from the usual sights and sounds of a bustling metropolis.
Afterward: Visit St. Pauls Chapel (pending available time)
Built in 1766, St. Paul's Chapel is Manhattan's oldest public
building in continuous use with a historic cemetery. Located
across from the World Trade Center site, the chapel also features
Unwavering Spirit: Hope and Healing at Ground Zero, an
exhibition honoring the voluntary ministry that supported
recovery workers immediately following 9/11.

Chinatown is one of the famous ethnic communities of
Manhattan. Enjoy browsing the shops before having dinner at an

11:00 AM Time to grab a sandwich in the area for lunch (student cost)
Hint Walk over to Macys Department Store at Herald Square from
1924 until 2009
it was the Worlds largest department store.
You can grab a sandwich here as
well as possibly shop for a
new dress / suit or whatever your heart desires.
12:00 PM We will get on the Subway and take the F train heading
uptown to 42nd and
Times Square, where we will transfer to
the # 2 Train heading uptown and get
off at 72nd St & Broadway
so that we can make our way into Central Park at
Strawberry Fields (student cost $ 2.50)

On Arrival Break into small groups with a chaperone and walk into Central
Park for a selfguided tour of one of the countries premier
parks. You can walk along the
west side of the park to 72nd
Street and view Strawberry Fields . Strawberry
Fields is a
living memorial to the world-famous singer, songwriter and peace
activist, John Lennon. During his career with the Beatles and in
his solo work,
Lennon's music gave hope and inspiration for
world peace and his memory
and mission lives on in Strawberry
Fields.
Exit the park at your leisure and make your way down Fifth Ave ~

by many to the The Queen of Avenues

This is an experience in history and scenery that culminates with
unparalleled views of New York City from the newly opened
Observation Deck on the 70th floor of 30 Rockefeller Center, in
the heart of midtown Manhattan. Visit during the day to see the
splendor of the city unfold beneath you.
Afterwards Make your way downstairs to the bottom of 30 Rock
