Your Mission
At Proximity Designs, the most important measure of our success is not the revenue that we earn, but
the social impact that our products and services have on entrepreneurial households in rural Myanmar.
Every year, our Knowledge and Social Impact Team carries out comprehensive impact assessments,
interviewing thousands of customers to learn about their lives, incomes and aspirations. Proximity
just implemented SAP, an enterprise resource planning software, to enhance efficiency in our daily
operations, and as a Knowledge Architect on our Knowledge and Social Impact Team, you will be in
charge of training and assisting both current and future SAP users. By improving the ways in which
Proximity staff interacts with SAP, as well as by assisting on rural research projects, your work will play a
key role in getting life-changing products into the hands of customers nationwide.
About Knowledge and Social Impact Team
Accountability and accuracy are some of our central values at Proximity, and our Knowledge and Impact
Team is in charge of keeping us real. They design and implement information and knowledge flow
systems to ensure that all our data is accurate and to encourage knowledge sharing. They also carry out
annual impact assessments for each of our four business units, measuring our reach and suggesting
changes that need to be made in the future. Additionally, the seven-person team carries out relevant
market research on areas such as rural mobile usage that helps us develop future products and
services. This is one-of-a-kind opportunity to be at the heart of a growing social enterprise working to
impact thousands of households across rural Myanmar.
What you will do
Join a team that is designing business processes and solutions
Liaise with different business units to determine appropriate process flows and methods with regards
to SAP Business One
Design, implement and support SAP Business One solutions for Proximity Designs
Configure, test and document activities related to SAP Business One solutions
Train and assist end users of SAP Business One
Is this you?
At least two years experience in financial accounting
Can demonstrate extensive knowledge of Computerized Business Software (such as MYOB or
Peachtree)
Possess the confidence and ability to quickly learn our business processes, accounting functions, as
well as to understand general data analysis principles
Can convey information in a clear, concise manner, both in oral and written communication materials.
Prepared to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
