Duration of Contract
The Project is the outset of ratification of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic
Pollutants (POPs) by India on 13.01.2006; for which the country is required to take up
environmentally sound management of POPs including those generated from incineration of Bio
Medical waste. The objective of the project is to reduce and ultimately eliminate the release of
unintentionally produced POPs and other global harmful pollutants into the environment and
assist India in implementing its relevant obligation.
A. Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the State Project Management Unit (SPMU), the successful
candidate will be responsible:

D. Salary
A consolidated salary of Rs 12, 000/- per month would be paid. Travelling allowance of
Rs 2,500/- per month and Mobile Allowance of Rs 500/- per month would be paid extra.
No other Allowance (or) perks will be admissible. There will be no increase in salary in
the two years of appointment. The incumbent will be entitled for 10 casual leaves/year
besides other Gazetted Holidays observed by SPMU, PPCB, Punjab.
