About this book


This book is a compilation of feedback and suggestions from the students who appeared for
placements in December 2013.
It contains company-specific details about the profile offered, selection process, test/GD
details, interview questions, suggested preparation and so on. The points have been
presented in a way that helps the reader understand what each company is looking for and
help him/her prepare accordingly.
The details related to major aero core companies have been included, along with some noncore companies in which students from our department were placed in the placement
season last year.
Hope this book helps you gain an idea about the placement scenario of our department. The
feedback given by seniors stresses on the fact that placement preparation is very important.
6 months from now, you will be facing your placement interviews. There is enough time at
hand now to start preparing and be fully ready by the time the placements begin. Hope this
book serves as a guide on how and what to prepare for each company/sector.

DRDO
Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is working in various areas of
military technology which include aeronautics, armaments, combat vehicles, electronics,
instrumentation engineering systems, missiles, materials, naval systems, advanced computing,
simulation and life sciences.

Profile Offered:

Scientist B.

Selection Procedure:

Open to Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communication and CS.


No Resume needs to be provided.
You will be asked to fill an online bio data form which has all the details you would put
in a resume and more.
o Description of your BTP/DDP and intern.
o Any projects/papers published.
Short-listing is based on screening test.
o CG cut off 6.75
o Shortlisted after comparing with all the people who take the test, not just the
students in IITM.
o Objective type test. Online
o 1.5 Hours test.
o Aptitude and Core questions.
Interview:
o Skype interview.
o Panel of 8.
o One round. Only Technical questions.
o 45 Minutes.
o Questions were purely about core engineering, Internship and projects.
o Will be asked which sub-field in branch you are interested in. Additional
questions will then be asked from this sub-Field.
o Questions about BTP.
o E.g.: since I told them propulsion was my area of interest What is solid
propulsion, Liquid propulsion, advantages of each type? Mechanism of rocket
propulsion. Different types of engines. Differences between them.
o You will be asked questions about the work DRDO has done or is doing. E.g.:
From propulsion>which missile in India has solid propulsion system. What labs
are there in Bangalore area?
o No HR questions at all.

Minor:

Management
o POM has tips on how to face an interview, etc. So useful in that sense.

Work Environment/Posting:

After selection you will have a medical test.


Then training in Pune for 6-7 months. After which a test is conducted. Based on the test
you will be assigned to different labs across the country. < This is what my seniors told
me.

Tips/Advice:

Need to be thorough with core subjects, at least the one you are interested in.
Be confident while answering questions.
Dont try to explain about something when you dont know anything about it, and make
mistakes.

Eaton is a power management company providing solutions to its customers to manage
electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power efficiently, safely and sustainably.

Profiles Offered:

Engineering profile in Hydraulics Division


Leadership program profile
Salary: 8.25 lakhs per annum for engineering profile
10 lakhs per annum for the leadership program profile

Selection Procedure:

Open to all, but people from elec are generally preferred


There was no written test, candidates were short-listed for the interview based on
resume and CGPA cut-off
There were 3 rounds of interviews:
o Technical round: questions will be asked about the projects you have done, and
some very basic questions about aero
o HR round: questions like why do you prefer Eaton over others, why did you not
go for PHD were asked,
o A mix of both HR and technical

Preparation Suggested:

CGPA matters a lot, short-list is initially made on CGPA basis


They look for people with good communication skills
Mention about the projects and internship you have done in your resume
Be sure to include all your projects and everything you have done in the resume
Including extra-curricular activities in your resume might help, dont worry if your
resume is lengthy
Be prepared to talk about your projects in details, for the interview
They look for your interest levels in the projects and internship you have done , in the
interview

HONEYWELL TECHNOLOGIES SOLUTIONS
Technological consultants, creates control systems for big airplane industries like Boeing. They
deal with software development on safety instruments and other control systems.

Company Requirement:

Core enthu students, willing to learn new stuff.


Dont look for any specific skills but they will expect you to be very much interested in
their company and questions are pointed in that direction.

Profiles Offered Last Year:

Engineer:
o Basic coding knowledge and core interest.
o Control systems and electrical knowledge.
CTC-10 Lakh per Annum.
o Includes 1 Lakh joining bonus.

Selection Process:

Open to Aerospace and Electrical.


CG Cut Off -7.0
Shortlist based on Aptitude and Coding tests.
o Basic aptitude/logical reasoning questions.
o English
o Basic coding questions: What is the output of the code Identifying the errors.
Interview:
o Two rounds: Technical and HR.
o Technical Round:
30-40 Minutes.
Questions based on resume points.
Aerospace students are asked basic aero questions based on Navier
Stokes Equation, etc.
No Coding questions.
o HR Round:
15 minutes.
Standard questions.

Minor Elective:

Operations Research
o Not very useful for this company/core companies.
o Useful for people who apply for companies like PNG/ITC.

Work Schedule:

5 Day Week
o 8 Hours per day.
o All postings are in Bangalore.

Resume:

Add any specific project in your course and BTP/DDP, in technical terms. That gives
them more chances of asking questions and the longer the interview better the chances
of going through.

Preparation Suggested:

BTP was very useful in my interview for Honeywell, it is not in their area of interest but
he was just impressed by the project details. If you are applying for a core interview
BTPs will definitely help.
Ensure that you know about the company well.

Relevant Courses/Skills:

Courses in control systems might help but are not compulsory.


Basic coding knowledge, Good aptitude and core enthu.
Just describe one or two projects from your courses BTP, which should be enough.

ROLLSROYCE
Rolls-Royce is a Power Systems company: for more than a hundred years we have been
providing power for aircraft, ships and land applications.

Profiles Offered:

Design Engineer- The work involves designing of various power systems. Involves
working as a trainee for first 2 years which includes a compulsory training abroad for 6
months in countries US, UK and SINGAPORE.
Salary offered: 8.2 lakh/annum

Selection Procedure:

Open to only Mechanical and aerospace( Only DUAL and M.techs)


First shortlist made based on RESUME
About 40 students are shortlisted from 160 applicants.
Based on cutoffs of the company for CGPA ( 10th and also 12th board exams .
They also look for team working skills

Written Test
(Paper model will be a series of tests)
Comprehensive Test Paper consisting of a situation to be managed. For 20 min
QUES: A new model is supposed to be released in a month and about now, we found
a danger due to some blunder in design, you are also involved in board of company
meeting . How would you deal with the situation? Your first thoughts.
Technical Paper: (30 min)
Completely MCQs on topics like propulsion and materials
Final Test:
On data interpretation with a set of 60 questions
Suggestion: time should be properly managed during this part.(MCQs)
INTERVIEW: Process will be in two rounds
TECHNICAL ROUND:
Questions will be asked mostly to test your knowledge in topics of propulsion, materials.
Sample questions:
1. How do you test the safety of particular product
2. Related to propulsion - shown a diagram engine and required to explain
functioning of each part, hints will be abundant (difficult)
3. Stress concentration and load distribution on a sheet with hole and also over a
wing
Questions related to your projects worked in institute and finally on some data
interpretation,
HR ROUND:
Presentation about yourself.
Questions related to resume, team work capabilities and also regarding PORs taken .\
A situation will be given and should explain how you deal with it.
SAMPLE question: Situations like conflict aroused in your team.
Finally related to your intern .
Brief some situations where you have faced some critical situation and how you dealt
with it.

Preparation Suggested:

Good CGPA is always useful along with your board exam results.

Having extra credentials like being a head of a club or core which shows leadership and
team managing skill will help.
Focus more on the subjects done by mechanical students related to thermos and
materials .
Resume presentation is most important.
Minors in Systems is not much helpful.

Work as trainee for 2 years and will be abroad for 6 months , mostly in US, Singapore and
Germany and Finally design engineer in Bangalore.

Profile offered last year:

Research and Development.


Salary offered: 8.5 Lakhs per annum (CTC)

Skills/Courses required:

Its a core company.


So a good knowledge in Vibrations, Propulsion, Structures, ED is required.
Coding is not a criterion.

Selection Process:

CGPA cut-off: 7.5


Test- questions based on vibrations, structures and some other topics.
GD-Topic: Future of Automotive Industry in 2020.
Interviews- Technical and HR
Technical- core questions, ex: working components of vehicle, deficiency of their
products.
HR- questions on resume

Preparation:

Aptitude questions to be practiced, technical- core questions.


- Posting in Bangalore.

Profile Offered:

Curriculum associate
Salary: 6LPA

Selection Procedure:

Open to all Students


Shortlist based on resume ,
After the shortlist, there was :
o Interview: they primarily look for:
motivation
ready to travel
people with good communication skills
o tests-focussing on teaching ability

Preparation Suggested:

Resume should be modular and the content should be arranged uniformly, giving
equal spacing
Extra-curricular and Co-curricular activities would be helpful

AXIS BANK
Job Profile Offered:
Business analyst - data analyst which was open for almost all departments (Only dual degree and
Mtechs)

Selection Process:

Initial Shortlisting based on resume with a CGPA cutoff of 8 around


Test process: (with 2 tests)
-TEST 1: Data interpretation
-Test 2 : Aptitude test which mostly tests a persons patience too.
Shortlist of about 20 -25 will be released
No group discussions.
Interviews will be conducted in 2 rounds( takes around 20 min)
- In the 1st round, case study and questions related to your course done in your maths will
be asked.
- 2nd round HR round during which were asked to present about yourself and your
qualities and mostly the activities you are involved in the past 4-5 years of insti life.

Suggestions:

Preparing for CAT would help a lot to crack the tests.


A proper revision of math courses will also be useful during interviews
Can do much better by having preparation in case studies.
They also focus mostly on communication skills
Systems minor would be more helpful for this profile.

CITICORP
What the company does:

Citicorp Finance (India) Limited (CFIL) is Citigroup's flagship non-banking finance entity
providing commercial Vehicle Loans, Construction Equipment Loans and Loan against Shares.
The company encourages entrepreneurial skills, enabling and empowering employees to take
appropriate decisions.

Profile Offered Last Year:

Business Analyst-includes advice clients on strategy, implement of suggestions etc.


Salary offered: 13.5 Lakhs per annum (CTC), 11.5 LPA (Taxable) + bonus every year
based on the performance.

Skills/Courses required:

Knowledge in Probability and Statistics.


Basics in Operation Research (Optimization).
CAT preparation would definitely help (almost same topics as CAT).

Selection Process:

Open for everyone.


No CGPA cut-off.
Shortlist based on TEST.
Around 40 students were shortlisted.
No GD.
Interviews.

Test:

Covers 12th class mathematics on Probability, Permutations and Combinations. Questions were
of the kind data sufficiency.

Interview:

Three Rounds:
Case Study- only on Probability and Optimization.
Technical Round-about Data Analysis, General Awareness, resume based.
HR- about ourselves and some random questions.

Preparation:

The topics covered for CAT were covered for this test.
Practice all the questions sent by BC.
For every point mentioned in the resume, one should have a backup for that point.
Read Newspapers (at least Economic Times) at least before 2 months.

Minor Elective:

Energy Technology: Not at all useful for this company. Maybe useful for core companies
like GE.

Posting:

There are many branches across the country.

Resume:

Nothing based on resume but they will talk about each and every point on the resume.
So be prepared for explaining those points.

COGNIZANT
Cognizant Technology Solutions is an American multinational corporation that provides custom
information technology, consulting and business process outsourcing services.

Profile Offered:

Associate Software Engineer


Salary: 6.5 lakhs per annum

Skills/Courses required:

Programming skills are required- knowledge in C, C++ is required.


Knowledge in Matlab.
Soft skills.

Selection Procedure:

Open to all branches


No CGPA cut-off, no GD
Shortlist based on TEST- questions on Aptitude, English, Probability, Permutations
and
Combinations, Programming (C, C++).
The duration of the test was 3 hours. It consisted of 4 papers:
o Aptitude-2 papers
o Coding-simple questions like write a program to reverse a string were
asked
o English
Technical Round: (30 min- core questions, 15 min- data structures)
Questions on programming, ex: code for Array with many variables.
Questions on Data Structures.
HR: general questions and some based on resume ( 5 min).

Preparation Suggested:

Courses in data structures, and any programming language might help


Go through the company website, and read about their case studies
They dont give much importance to extra-curricular activities
Programming basics- pointers, arrays, Dynamic array allocation.
Prepare for the questions sent by BC.
Elective: Structures, Finite element analysis (may be useful).
Many branches throughout the country.

FLIPKART
Profile Offered last year:

Graduate Trainee for one year and later based on the performance maybe posted in
Operations/Finance/Business Development/Analytics.

Salary CTC:

11 Lakhs per annum, 7.7 LPA (taxable) + 10% bonus + 1 Lakh bonus every year for 3 years.

Skills/Courses required:

No specific skills required. Knowledge in aptitude and entrepreneur look is required.


Optimization may help.

Selection Procedure:

Open for everyone, no CGPA cut-off.


Test (120 were shortlisted)- Basic aptitude and entrepreneur based questions.
Group Discussion (60 were shortlisted)
Topic: Future of e-commerce in India.
Interviews 1. Case Study (25 were shortlisted),
ex: complaints that Flipkart TVs were damaged, find a solution?
-2. HR (19 were shortlisted)- questions based on resume.

Preparation:

Topics that cover for CAT would help here.

Minor elective:

Management (not useful here)


OR will be useful.
Posting in BANGALORE.

GOLDMAN SACHS
What the company looks for:

How well you can think under pressure.


Out of the box thinking.
How you can adapt the solution to a simple problem to a much larger/complex one.
o This is how the interview questions progress as well.

Relevant Courses:

Math Courses. Graph Theory is very important.


Courses related to Combinatorics, Stochastic process.
Economics/Management minors.

Profile Offered:

Analyst in Strategic Analyst (Strats) Division.


CTC- 30 lpa.
Gross Annual Income- 26 lpa.
3 different profiles in analyst.

Selection Procedure:

Open to all branches.


Test:
o 3 Hours long.
o 2 Parts: Objective and Subjective.
o Objective has 10 Questions each from 3 different sections. One of which is Math.
Objective questions are hard if you didnt do any related course. They are
not basic questions.

o Subjective has proofs from graph theory. Algorithms and Stochastic process
questions.
E.g.: If the probability of an insect dying from time t to t+dt is a function f
(t) (Which is given) .What is the expected time of survival of insect/how
many insects would still be surviving at the end of a certain interval of
time.
Any good Graph theory book will have the proofs.
Step marks are awarded. So its okay even if your end answer is not
correct.
I answered only 2 out of 12 subjective questions.
o Do not leave in-between the test.
Test score is used for shortlisting.
No GD.
Interview:
o 3-4 Rounds of interviews.
o 35 minutes a round.
o Questions asked in interview depend on which objective section you have
answered in the test.
I attempted math so Math puzzle questions were asked. Herd on the
Street- refer this book for puzzles. I got 2 questions form it.
Other questions were You have something which generates 5 numbers at
random, How to generate 7 random numbers.?
Some questions were based on Pigeon Hole Principle.

At the rounds progress the questions get tougher. They build up on the
previous questions.
Questions on BTP/DDP. Internships, especially if you interned in a finance
company. What did you do there? etc.
Only two candidates had HR interviews. This seemed random. The only common
denominator being that they both took part in GS Quantify.
Interviewer asks a question and leaves the room. You need to get the answer
before he comes back.
Interviewers are friendly and helpful if you ask questions in return and show
curiosity.

Physics
o Not at all useful/relevant in anyway.

Resume:

Mention any math course except for the compulsory ones, MA101&102.
Mention any online finance courses you have done.
If your minor is Management or Economics mention it.
Highlight any achievements.
Attend the Mc Kinsey resume workshop, it is very useful.
Limit it to a single page.

Work Environment/Posting:

All the selected candidates are posted in Bangalore.


Once placed you are assigned a buddy. There is an office visit in March where you are
introduced to your team.
Most will be IITans.

Preparation Tips/Advice:

Doing a course on Discreet Math, even online will help a lot with the test. Revise that
before the test.
Do lots of puzzles before the interview.
Start working on your resume early, around May. Highlight important points.
Start doing case studies by August-September. This will come in handy for other
companies as well. Gives you more time at the end.
Keep up with financial news. Other companies may ask.

ICICI BANK
Job Profile Offered:

Management trainee:- Analytics, Digital Channels, Technology fields. Open for most of the
departments .
Shortlist based on CGPA (>8)
CTC of 14 lakh/annum and final handover of 11.9 lakh/annum.

Preparation for TEST:

Preparation for CAT would cover the entire the topics required for test and technical
questions in interview.

Selection Process:

Shortlist based on resume


Test Only 1 test was conducted consisting of data interpretations.
Shortlist of (>20) is released
Group discussion was conducted and mostly related to their sector topics will be given.
Interviews is also of 1 round.
Both HR and technical round was completed in 15 min

Suggestions:

CAT will cover almost entire technical process


For chemical dept, Statistical design and analysis of experiments course gives the edge
over others. QUESTIONS related to logistic regress was asked.
Minors as systems was useful
Quantifying most of thing in your resume and also in interview would give a good
impression.
Internships also does matter
Questions on AVOVA in statistical courses are also focused

Insurance Company

Profile Offered:

Management Trainee: Offered in three different departments:


o Underwriting Claims
o Accruals
o Sales and Products
5.25 lpa Training period CTC + 1.57 lpa Yearly Bonus.

Courses/Skills:

Data Analytics
Good communication skills
Probability and Statistics.

Selection Procedure:

Some profiles were open to all branches while others were specific.
Shortlisting was based on resume.
No test.
GD was conducted.
o Topic was Defence & Development.
Interview:
o One round only.
o 30 Minutes.
o No coding questions.
o Questions on Data Analytics. No questions on POR, CCA.
o Questions like Why would you fit in?

What does the company look for?

Presence of mind
Communication Skills.
Should have a Data Analytics background.
Good in probability.

Minor:

Engineering in Everyday Life


o Project done as part of course was useful.
Counting the number of words in a newspaper. Related to data collection
and analysis.

Work Environment/Posting:

Delhi or Hyderabad. You need to give preferences.


Stressful environment. Hectic schedule.
6 Days a week, at least 10 hours per day

Resume/Tips:

Check out what they expect from candidates on their website.


Highlight relevant points.
Probability required is 12th standard level.
Limit to single page.
You can mention relevant points in interview which are not present in your resume.

What the company does:

Consultation / Auditing Company

Courses/Skills:

You should be able to speak your mind.


Team player.
Easily approachable.
Should be able to strike a conversation form nothing.
Management minor may help. No questions were asked though.

Profiles Offered:

Two profiles in BPS:


o Strategy and Operations.
o FMAS/SSOA
IGS
I was placed in Strategy and Operations: Broadly it involves the following work:
o Market assessment and corporate strategy.
o Business Plan Formulation.
o Manufacturing Excellence, Supply chain logistics.
o Sales and marketing.
CTC 6 lpa.

What the company looks for:

Well balanced individual. All Rounder.

Selection Procedure:

Shortlisting based on resume.


No test.
GD for shortlisted candidates:
o 10 people per GD.
o 12-15 minutes.
o Topic- We were given different government structures. We had to discuss the
pros/cons of them.
o You need to be vocal and firm on your stance.
o Present logical points.
Interview:
o Open to only B.Techs.
o Open to Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Metallurgy, Mechanical and ED Departments.
o 30-45 minutes.
o One round.
o Questions will be based on resume. Any POR / CCA.
o 6-7 people were selected for interview. 2 were selected.
o Any resume point which shows that you can think out of the box will help.
o Good POR helps.
o Standard consult company questions were asked.

Tips/Advice:

Placement preparation is enough. Reading newspaper may help.


Read about the company. Know what KPMG means, etc.

Interview is slightly informal. Dont be nervous.


Be courteous.

Resume:

You should be thorough with whatever you put on the resume.


Limit it to one page.

Work Environment/Posting:

Posting in Bombay. You will be asked during the interview for your preference.
Probably 5 Day week.
Travel intensive.
You will be interacting with the top/tier 1 personnel of different companies.

MATRIMONY.COM
Requirements:

As for now they are in need of people. Mostly they will come for placements this year
also.
Profile is coding involving php, javascript, HTML, Mysql, redis, sphinx etc i.e, stuff
related to wen development.
We had about 2 months training for learning all those. There is also an option for going
into app development for IOS or android.
We haven't started it yet but we might work on it future.

Skill Set:

Only skill that you need is now to code(any language).There will be a training period, so need to
learn anything beforehand.
Salary:7 ctc

Selection Procedure:

NO CG cutoff.
First by resume shortlist, not a big problem.
There was an APTITUDE test. They shortlisted some 25(not sure) and first 10 had only
HR and remaining 15 had both HR and Technical interviews.
I had only HR in which they asked about my project, why software , why our company
blah blah normal stuff.

Topics :

It was normal aptitude test, no coding involved. Puzzles, maths.

How to prepare:

First write some practise tests online, solve puzzles, learn atleast C till lists(linked lists etc),
sorting algorithms

Resume:

Try to keep the resume to one page.

MOONRAFT
MOONRAFT is a design and innovation firm and had come to IITM for the first time for placements.

Profile offered last year:

Basically it is a STARTUP, so no specific profile offered, may give web designing.


Profiles available are App developing, modifying User-interface, web designing, 3D mapping.
SALARY: 7 Lakhs per annum (CTC).

Skills/Courses required:

Knowledge in C/CPP/Java Script is definitely required.


Matlab is not sufficient.
Data Structures will be helpful.
For web designing, definitely skills are required.

Selection Procedure:

No CGPA cut-off.
Shortlist based on TEST.
NO Group Discussion.
Interviews- Technical Round.

Test:

Puzzles (Maths), pseudo codes, basics of programming, Data Structures.

Interview:

Puzzles solving (very few questions since post almost confirmed).


Minor Elective: Physics, not at all useful.

Nomura Group provides investment, financing and related services to individual, institutional
and government customers on a global basis with an emphasis on securities businesses.

Profile Offered:

Risk Analyst: predicting risk involved ,threatening assets earning capacity or success of
organization

Salary: 12 lakhs per annum

Selection Procedure:

Candidates were short-listed based on resume and cover letter


In the cover letter, applicants were asked to write about ,why they are suitable for the
position of risk analyst, and why they are better than others
After the short-list, there were 3 rounds of interview: 2 -technical and 1-HR round.
The interviews were long ,lasted about 50 minutes
The interviews were mostly technical, and questions asked were difficult and based on
the maths courses, basic questions on probability were also asked
Questions were asked on core subjects also, like derivation Navier Stokes Equation

Preparation Suggested:

People with quantitative and analytical skills are preferred


They look for people who have given exams like CFA
Include all the math and economic courses in your resume
PORs and extra-curricular activities might not be important for the resume
Revise all the maths courses you have mentioned in your resume.

Relevant Courses:

Maths and economics courses might help


Courses like probability, linear algebra, differential equations, time series analysis

Selection Process:

No CG cut off.
Shortlisting is based on resumes.
GD is conducted for shortlisted candidates.
o Candidates are divided into groups of 6 people.
o 3 Topics. Each topic is discussed for 2 minutes.
o No specific rules like each person needs to speak are to be followed during the
GD. Anyone can initiate, intervene, etc.
o Finally you are asked to link all three topics. This discussion goes on for another
2 minutes
o No group activity session was conducted this time.
o The topics were:

A topic related to ethics.
Interview:
o Only a single round lasting about 40-45 minutes.
o 4 people in the panel.
o Technical as well as HR questions.
o First I was asked to go through my own resume, Introduce/Tell us about
yourself?
o E.g.: Where have you shown leadership qualities? Have you led a team? Size of
team? What new initiatives did you take?
o Core questions starting form basics like How does an airplane fly? to specific
questions about the different types of engines used in airplanes, their
specifications, etc.
o HR questions like What was the most difficult decision in your life?
o Grilled on my intern for 15-20 minutes which I did in Transocean. (Another oil
field services company)

Work Environment/Posting:

You will be assigned a segment like Wire Line, Cementing etc. You will work on off
shore/shore based oil rigs. All necessary training is provided beforehand. You need to
coordinate/work with the onsite crew and complete the task. Work is both mentally and
physically challenging.
Posting can be anywhere in India as well as abroad.

Resume:

Highlight any intern in Oil industry or anything related to that.

You need to be very good in the basics of your core courses.


If you have done an intern in the oil industry, you will definitely be grilled on that. It will
help your prospects as well.
Questions will be asked in quick succession.
Selection procedure for Internships is more or less the same.

In general they look for students experienced in Data Analytics.

Profile Offered:

Project Engineer: The program is planned with multifaceted training interventions,


domain exposure in challenging projects, exposure to new edge technologies, while
being guided and supported by mentors. Location not confirmed yet. Maybe
Bangalore, Chennai or Hyderabad.
Salary: 7 lakhs per annum

Selection Procedure:

Short-list was made for the test based on CGPA cut-off of 8.00
There were two tests:
o Preliminary aptitude test
o Coding test: questions like: given a number n ,count the number of3s that
appear in all numbers from 1 to n were asked
Selected students had 2 rounds of interview (technical + HR).
The interviews were fairly easy. They did not ask any technical questions in the
technical round. Both rounds were like HR rounds.
Just let them know that you are interested in the company.

They were very particular about a good academic record. They kept asking whether I had any
backlogs. They hire for a more senior position from IITs than they do from other colleges, so
they were particular about this.

Relevant Courses:

Not any courses in particular. Since it is an IT profile, some CS courses may help. Just let them
know that you are interested in coding at some level
