Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) for Office Renovation works and
Supplies of Materials
THE ORGANIZAION
BBC Media Action is the BBCs international development charity. We use media and
communications to reduce poverty and promote human rights in developing countries. We partner
with civil society, local media and others to produce creative programmes in multi-media formats
which inform and engage audiences around key development issues, and strengthen the media sector
through capacity building. Our work is built on insights from our research and engagement with
communities, and is focused on three key themes: governance and human rights, health and
resilience. Few of our major activities and TV media productions are BBC Janala, BBC Bangladesh
Sanglap, drama serials Biswash & Ujan Ganger Naya, factual TV programmes Nije Nije Shekha and
Amrai Pari.

SCOPE OF WORKS
OBJECTIVE
BBC Media Action, Bangladesh Office is planning to set up new office premises located at Banani in
4th & 5th floor of a newly constructed 13 storied modern building with approximately 2,900 square
feet (sft) carpet area in each floor. Interior design and space plan is under review in these spaces by
using modular office equipment, brick and glass partitions, fixed and unfixed cabinets, lobbies,
breakout area, reception and waiting areas, conference rooms, edit suits, radio booth. server room,
equipment store. There will also major electrical works for air-conditioning system, electrical lights,
sockets and connection, fire safety and IT equipment. BBC Media Action appointed professionals will
design floor and interior planning. Professional Architect and Electrical Engineers will supervise the
work to ensure the quality of the products and workmanship to ensure implementation of the
approved design and where safety of the premises will be considered as highest priority.
BBC Media Action is looking for bonafide supplier and service providers for the following categories
to implement the work as per floor and interior design planning.

CATAGORY A FOR SERVICES

Interior fit out: The selected vendor will execute fit out and renovation works including
supply of goods and materials as per approved design and goods.

CATAGORY B FOR SERVICES

Electric works: The selected vendor will be responsible for electrical works and fit out as
per approved design provided by the Architect and Electrical Engineers.

Air conditioner: The selected vendor will be responsible for installation of air conditioning
system as per approved design.

Networking service: The selected vendor will install network cabling and other related
work as per approved design.

Fire safety equipment: The selected vendor will install fire safety equipments as per
requirement.

CATAGORY C FOR GOODS/MATERIALS SUPPLIER

Electrical goods & accessories supplier: The selected vendor will supply all the
necessary electrical goods including power sockets, distribution board, electrical wires, and
other electrical fittings as per approved design.

Networking Equipment: The selected vendor will supply network cable and necessary
accessories as per approved design.

Fire safety equipment: The selected vendor will supply fire safety equipments as per
requirement.

ELIGIBILITY AND DOCUMENT COMPRISING THE EOI

BBC Media Action invites national organizations/firms to demonstrate their interest in providing
above services and shall provide information with documentary evidences as applicable to establish
that they have;
a) Minimum 3 years of experience in the related services / business.
b) Organizational clear structure and in case of service provider details of team members /
technical staffs available.
c) Legal documents: Valid Trade License, TIN Certificate and VAT Certificate (if any)
d) For the Category B & C, work completion certificate for at least two (2) similar natures
completed for any reputable/international organization.
A vendor is allowed to apply for one category and sub-category if they are eligible for enlistment for
the particular category or sub-category.
The EoI should be limited to maximum 25 pages and shall include a brief brochure summarizing your
facilities and areas of expertise.

SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST:

Please PRINT type of category the EoI is submitted on top of envelope and submit on or before

Submission of Expression of Interest:

BBC Media Action will notify short listed company/agencies/firm by email from within 15 days of
submission of Expression of Interest (EOI) and final enlisted agencies will be given specific terms of
reference for specific assignment, or service to submit financial proposals.
BBC Media Action reserves the right to accept or reject part/whole of any or all the applications
without assigning any reason whatsoever.
