PCB DESIGNING & CIRCUIT SIMULATION USING PROTEUS Objective of Workshop: Engineers from Electrical, Electronics & Communication and Instrumentation branches often lack practical exposure, which has created a peculiar situation wherein even though in abundance industry is short of trained / quality manpower. PCB designing and fabrication is the most required part for an electronics hardware oriented product development companies. With the growth of the technology everyone is using the most advanced automated tools to design the PCBs. ORCAD is one of the most preferred PCB designing tools in the world. In this training module our main motive is to cover the basics and advanced level PCB designing techniques using, ORCAD Software. By the end of the workshop the candidate will be able to develop his own PCB designs very easily and very accurately. Modules to be covered in this Workshop: 1. Basics of PCB material & production 2. Types of PCB a) Single Layer PCB b) Double Layer PCB 3. Overview of PCB technologies and its use 4. Types of component technologies a) Through hole component b) Overview of Manual routing technology c) The CAD system as a substitute for manual routing and how to judge CAD systems. e) General rules for design of PCBs and design factors 1. Introduction to Proteus a) Basics of Circuit designing b) Introduction to Symbols c) Part reference (Reference Designators) d) Schematic Diagram e) Layout Design file creation 2. Conversion of Design file to layout 3. Selecting of Pads and drill size 4. Placement of components and routing 5. Enhanced routing technology
