Are your quarterly reports all accounted
for? They include, Public Affairs
(NEWGF 305);
Aerospace Education (NEWGF 312);
Drug Demand Reduction (NEWGF 320)
and H-1 Report (NEWGF 322). Also now
needed by the 30th of July is your Unit
Alert Roster (NEWGF 302).
DEHYDRATION
During this time of year it is very important
to stay hydrated because of the heat index.
Dehydration occurs when the body loses
substantial amounts of water and electrolytes. The human body is made up of 5060% water and our brain tissue consists of
about 85% water. Although water is extremely important in preventing dehydration,
it does not contain any electrolytes. Some
ways to maintain your electrolyte level is by
drinking fruit juices, eating soft fruit, or
vegetables that contain high amounts of potassium. Dehydration symptoms in the early
stages might include dizziness, headaches,
rapid pulse, paleness and reduction in urination. The best way to treat dehydration is
to prevent it from occurring. If it does
happen, there are several things you can do:
Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water; Avoid
dark color clothing that will attract heat;
Limit your caffeine intake and carbonated
beverages and Protect your skin with sun
block and stay in cool, shaded areas.

FUNDRAISING
Those magical events that everyone should
be taking advantage of especially during
the summer months, can include car
washes, as one of many. Use the Wing
Form 316 to request permission of the
Wing Commander and any monies made
from these events must to be sent to
Wing to be deposited into your units bank
account.
CAP Member 1Lt Twyla Burge of the Fremont Cadet Sq. will be 87 in September. Her son, Capt.
Lloyd Burge, also of the Fremont Cadet Sq. has requested any CAP member that would like to contact her by email to do so, as she is in a nursing home due to her physical limitations. She would
enjoy the contact and with a sharp mind, but weak body, this leads to boredom and would be happy
to correspond with people. Her email is tmb10944@yahoo.com.
A LITTLE FUN: THE HERSHEY MAN.
Your age by chocolate math goes like this:
Take the number of times a week you would like to have
chocolate (more than once but less that ten). Multiply
this number by 2 (just to be bold!) Add 5 to this number. Multiply this number by 50 go ahead, Ill wait
while you get the calculator; If you have already had
your birthday this year, add 1759.if you havent, add
1758. Subtract the four digit year you were born and
you should have a three digit number left. The first
digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many
times you want to have chocolate each week).the next
two numbers are your age (Oh yes, it is!!) This is the
only year (2009) that this will ever work.
THE
HERSHEY MAN ALWAYS KNOWS!
