know they will represent
Nebraska Wing well.

Quarterly Reports
are due at Wing
Headquarters
on 5 April from the
Unit Public Affairs,
Aerospace Education,
Safety and the
Communications H-1. Get
your reports in on time!

Finance: With the update of CAPR 173-1 in December, Financial Procedures and Accounting, it
is imperative that all squadron commanders tell
their members to get their reimbursement receipts into the squadron soon after purchase as
any receipt over 60 days turned in from the date
of purchase will no longer be honored. We dont
want any members to lose out on the reimbursement money. This does not pertain to CAPF
108s turned in for reimbursement from mission
funds. The original receipts and signed 108s are
still required at the wing.

Senior Training:
Make a change on your Calendars! SLS/CLC has been moved from 24 April
to 1 May, still scheduled to be held at Camp Ashland. CAPF 17s must be received
at Wing Headquarters NLT 1 April to send out the homework for those that enroll in the CLC. This homework must be completed prior to attending the class in
order to complete the course in one day. Encourage your members to take
these classes as a stepping stone in completing the Level Awards.
Upcoming Training:
The SAREX in Lincoln on 13 March at Silverhawk Aviation. The Ops plan is
in WIMRS. The next scheduled SAREX will be in Norfolk and if anyone is interested in being a part of mission staff, contact LTC Sue Askew at
sue.askew@conpoint.net
Commanders:
You or your unit supply and communications officers are the only ones that
can complete your S-8 Inventory and re-validation of those items issued to individuals online. This must be completed prior to 31 March

Finance Session at the Wing Conference:

There is a finance breakout session scheduled for the unit finance officers, commanders or their appointed representative
and it would be nice to have 100% attendance from our 14 units. Lots of changes
have happened since the CAPR 173-1 came
out in December that consolidated CAPR
173-1 and CAPR 173-2. See you there!!

CAP Policy of Nondiscrimination:

It is Civil Air Patrol policy that no member shall be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to
discrimination in an CAP program or activity on the basis of race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, or disability
(formerly handicap). It is CAP policy that no applicant meeting CAPs minimum age requirements will be denied membership in CAP on the basis of race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, or disability (formerly handicap).

Once again it is time for the wing conference which

means the free magazines, books and gifts to each
squadron Aerospace Education Officer (AEO) who
meets with the Wing Director of Aerospace Education. This is your chance for a one-on-one meeting
with the wing aerospace education staff who can answer questions, give you the latest news, along with
a gift for all your hard work this past year!
Wing Conference begins on March 27 at the Regency Lodge in Omaha and ends on March 28. There
will be informative seminar meetings on Saturday
such as the AEO seminar and the banquet on Saturday night will include awards, trophys and the
change of wing commander ceremony! I look forward to seeing everyone, especially the AEOs!
