SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS

SHOULD A WOMEN WORK OUTSIDE THE HOME?

According to Mohammed Akade Osman in his essay "Should a
Women Work Outside the Home?" he states that women work
outside the home is morally wrong from the religious point of view,
because it can makes great social problems and changing character
of the women can destroy societies. He explains, based on the
creation of men and women, women have a position to walk behind
men as a support and keep the balance of life. As a support, women
stay in the home to do some housework and raise the children. As a
balance, women can stabilize men and help the condition relatively
become comfortable, warmness and peace because naturally
women have good characters such as care, love, and share.
Mr. Osman also reveals that worker women possibility ignore their
children's growing, and it can make the children becoming
indiscipline and naughty. Because their father (if the fathers also
work) cannot notice their children's activities while the mothers are
not in home. I agree with this condition, the women who do not
watch their children growing up makes the children uncontrolled and
become protestor. I have seen that condition around my home. The
worker fathers cannot control their children because they did not
see what happened in the home every day, and some fathers do not
care about it. These condition will be more serious if the mothers
work too.
The other effect if the women work outside the home is changing of
their characters, such as feeling that they more free than stay at
home, so they can do anything, like bad or good things. They
uncontrolled by their family, especially by their husband. Most

worker women think that it is fine if they quarrel with their husband
or family because they feel that they can finance them self, and
they do not depend on their husbands anymore. They lost their
respect to their husbands moreover if their husbands do not work r
become unemployment. At the end, many divorces are happened,
and the children become the victims of that condition.
Another problem society that caused by women if they work outside
the home is changing of respect and honor to their husband, or
respect and honor the children to their parents. I have observed the
condition around my home in the small town. Because in my town
there are many companies in the garment sector that need worker
women as their laborers. So, thousands women work there and
ironically their husbands cannot get the jobs easily, at the end the
husbands just accompany and pick their wives every day. And the
effect of that situation, many families are financed by the mothers,
the children who feel that the mothers are everything who can grant
any material request become disrespectful to their father.
When Mr. Osman says that women and men created differently. Men
are created taller and bigger than women in physics. I absolutely
agree with his statement, I think men have more power or strength
than women, so men more compatible if they work hard such as
physical work. And women more compatible with housework or work
in the home, because women have a patient to do small things over
and over again. Women naturally are gift the capacity to raise the
children and grow the good generation.
In conclusion, I agree that women should not work outside the home
because many disadvantages caused by. Women should be the
support building character of next generation, when the most
women are bad, the country will be bad too. Because many families
with unemployed father, the women should give the opportunities to
the other families in order to they can finance them self caused their

fathers can work. And I hope the condition if the women do not work
outside the home will be better.
