Title of Research Proposal
ABSTRACT:
Banking industry is presently facing a hyper turbulent situation where banks have to operate in
increasingly competitive and complex local and global markets. The competition has even
become ever tough and challenging with the entry of many foreign world-class banks and
other financial institutions. Performance Management is a tool widely used by bank
administration to enhance the working efficiency of the employees. But lack of sophistication in
the judgment measures is a big hardship faced by the bank authorities to monitor the progress
and growth of banks and their employees. By keeping view of this situation a research study is
being designed and employee specific data of four leading private sector banks viz., UBL,
ABL, HBL and MCB will be collected. The Performance Management System will then be
judged thorough statistical analysis of the data.
