Banyuwangi is Beauty

Banyuwangi is one of the largest cities in East Java which is located at the
eastern end of the island of Java. If you often travel to Bali with ground
transportation from Java, of course you know Banyuwangi, because Banyuwangi
has ferry ports are heading to Bali. But most people do not know that actually
Banyuwangi have places a very attractive tourist destination, either in the form of
natural attractions, beaches and national parks. Here are some places that you
should visit:
1. Mount Ijen
Ijen crater has acidic green water, with 2,368 meters high above
sea level, with a depth of 200 meters and a vast lake crater of 5,466
hectares. Ijen Crater Lake, a lake multi-component reactor in which the
process, both physics and chemistry. As between the release of magma
gases, rock dissolution, precipitation, formation of new material, and
dissolving back substances - substances that are formed. resulting in lake
water is very acidic and contains dissolved material with a very high
concentration.

2. Red Island
Red island beach is one of the leading destinations Banyuwangi,
located in the village of Sumberagung Village, District Pesanggaran.
Located about 60 km from the city center towards the south of
Banyuwangi. If you use your car will spend time in almost 2.5 hours. If
you use public transportation, you can take advantage of public
transportation services from Banyuwangi terminal, and use a bus to
Pesanggaran. Then you can use motorcycle taxi (ojek) to reach the coast of
the Red Island.

3. Plengkung Beach (G-Land)


Plengkung is known as one of the best surfing beaches in the
world. The word of G in G-Land derives from Grajagan, the name of
the bay where the huge waves were found at the south of the Banyuwangi.
It is surrounded by virgin tropical land forest. G lad offers the worlds most
demanding surfing sport, and recommended for professional surfers only.
May to October is the best time for surfing. No doubt it is a world of surfer
paradise. Most surfers start from Bali, take an overland to Banyuwangi
and directly to National Park of Alas Purwo, G-Land or cross the Grajagan
Bay to Plengkung beach where the waves challenge invite the surfers.
However it is not recommended for novices.

4. Green Bay
Green Bay is typical white sandy beach and the sand is find and it
easily embedded in the skin. The bay also has panoramic view with green
sea water inside and 8 meter high of waterfall. For those who give visit to
this bay, the vehicles can be parked near Rajagwesi beach then we can
walked to Green bay as far as +/- 2km. There is also a parking spot closer
to the Green bay, but the roads are inadequate.

5. Wedi Ireng Beach


Wedi Ireng is one of beautiful beaches in Sumberagung village,
Pesanggaran Sub-District. The distance is only about 3 Km from pulau
Merah or Red Island, or about 65 kilometers to the south of Banyuwangi
city. This is typical of virgin beach, for not many visitors can reach this
location. It still genuine and pure.

6. Tabuhan Island
Tabuhan Island is the fantastic island that composed and
surrounded by white sand. Coral seems to blossom into garden with an
amazing variety of forms and colors. Growing coral from reef acts as
homes for whole communities of marine life such as; thousand of beautiful
marine view, aquarium fish species (Amphiprion the Dacyllus, the red
coloured Labrida and the Gorisygula), shellfish, sponges, crayfish and
marine plants. The visitors can do some activities whether snorkeling or
deep diving with breathing equipment exploring a reef and marine life in
the spectacular drop offs are also an excellent under water visibility or sun
bathing, an unforgettable experience. Pulau Tabuhan is 23 km away from
Banyuwangi with about 4 square hectares. Reachable by Benignly or
public transport Banyuwangi - Surabaya, stop at Kampe then by sailing
boat or speed boat from Kampe beach.
