When writing the scope of application, consider the following criteria:

o It must be clear and simple, in order not to led to customers, nor other interested parties confusion
o Shall mention the organizations main process in a clear way, without being redundant. Support
process, compulsory and obvious process shall not be mentioned (for example: training, trade
process).
o It shall mention what the organization does, in reference to the used technology, avoiding making
specific reference to colours, sizes, etc.
o / It shall not include values judgements, (100% natural, is a value judgement for ISO 9001 or ISO
14001, because natural shall be evaluated by other protocols, or standards, for example organic
production)
o
In cases of ISO 9001 certifications, the possible exclusions are restricted to chapter 7, always and
only if they are correctly justified and accepted by the auditor team, (the exclusions of this document
shall coincide with the exclusions mentioned in the audit report recommendation). In every case,
complete requirements not partials, shall be exclude; excepted for the sub items of chapter 7.5
