What is IBM WebSphere?

WebSphere Software for SOA environments enables dynamic, interconnected business processes, and delivers
highly effective application infrastructures for all business situations.

What are the featured products within this program?

WebSphere Application Server: Offers options for a faster, more flexible Java application server runtime
environment. It offers enhanced reliability and resiliency for building and running applications, including
cloud and mobile. It supports environments from single server and midsize configurations to large deployments requiring web tier clustering over multiple application server instances.
WebSphere MQ: A robust messaging middleware that simplifies and accelerates the integration of diverse
applications and business data across multiple platforms. IBM MQ facilitates the assured, secure and reliable
exchange of information between applications, systems, services and file by sending and receiving message
data via messaging queues, thereby simplifying the creation and maintenance of business applications.
IBM MobileFirst: Helps enterprises deliver on their mobile strategy. It provides an open and comprehensive
platform to not only build, but test, run and manage native, hybrid and mobile web apps. Available as an on
premises or private cloud solution, IBM MobileFirst Foundation can help reduce both application development
and maintenance costs, improve time-to-market and enhance mobile application governance and security.
IBM Business Process Manager: A comprehensive Business Process Management Platform (BPM), providing full visibility and insight to managing business processes. It provides tooling and run time for process design, execution, monitoring and optimization, along with basic system integration support. IBM Business Process Manager Standard is ideal for multi-project improvement programs that focus on workflow and productivity, scaling easily from initial project to enterprise-wide programs.
IBM Operational Decision Manager: A full-featured, easy-to-use platform for capturing, automating and
governing frequent, repeatable business decisions. It consists of two components, IBM Decision Center and
IBM Decision Server. They form the platform for managing and executing business rules and business events
to help you make decisions faster, improve responsiveness, minimize risks and seize opportunities.
WebSphere Portal Server: IBM WebSphere Portal Server provides custom-branded, enterprise multichannel portal capabilities that help you deliver a highly-personalized, social portal experience for your customers. With WebSphere Portal Server, you can give customers a single point of access to the applications,
services, information and social connections they need. WebSphere Portal Server helps you increase visitor
response and reduce web operations costs.
IBM PureApplication System: The IBM PureApplication System is a platform system designed and tuned
specifically for transactional web and database applications. This workload-aware, flexible platform is designed to be easy to deploy, customize, safeguard and manage. Whether you operate in a traditional or private cloud environment, this IBM solution can provide you with superior IT economics.
