Dear Bishop,
I write to request leave of absence from Saint Peters Hall with the view to return
to Trinity Theological College in July 2015 for my third and final year. I hope to be
able to return to Myanmar by the end of this month.
I make this request after much thought and consultation with my father, who is
also my diocesan bishop in Yangon, Myanmar. I have been struggling since last
July, and have been negligent in my studies and community life. I realize there
are aspects in my life that I need to face up to, understand more fully, and find
the grace to change. I hope the break from the College will allow me to devote
to aspects of human and spiritual formation that needs urgent attention. I shall
be under the supervision of teachers and clergy at Holy Cross Theological
College during my break.
I am very sorry that I have caused you much pain and anxiety. Thank you for
your pastoral care and spiritual direction.
