ErrorProbabilityResultforMQAMModulation
Abstract
ThisprojectisdesignedtostudytheSymbolErrorrateof2QAM,4QAMand16QAMreceivedsignal.
EachSERwillbeplottedandcomparethegapbetweeneachSER.Infirstpart,wewillstudytheSERfor
eachmodulationwithAWGN.ThesecondpartisthemodulationtransmittroughtheRayleighfading
channel.
SignalModel
Ingeneral,MQAMsignalistransmittedoveranonfadingadditivewhiteGaussiannoisechannelora
frequencynonselectiveRayleighfadingchannel.Thereceivedsignalisgivenby
wheren(t)isthenoiseelement.InAWGNchannel,n(t)isthewhiteGaussiannoiseandhasthe
channelgain,h(t)=1.ButforRayleighchannel,
