Amendment 1 – Voting Clarified Ratified 1/30/2010

1. Members must have active status and have paid dues to be able to vote

Amendment 2 – Participation Clarified Ratified 1/30/2010


1. Members must participate in activities sponsored by Chi Delta Sigma and in community
service, not in community events.

Amendment – Community Clarified Service Ratified 1/30/2010


1. Members shall participate in community service events (10 hours minimum a semester) and
document their hours, but are not required to attend all service events.

Amendment 4- Probation Clarified Ratified 1/30/2010


1. Probation is initiated after formal review from executive board and adviser. Probation is one
semester minimum and limited to one academic year. When on probation, member no longer
has the right to vote and cannot wear letters.
2. Probation for academic deficiency shall be a minimum of one semester with a two consecutive
semester cap.
3. Probation for confidentiality of process information for active and non members and
misrepresentation of Chi Delta Sigma shall be consistent with Chi Delta Sigma’s Code of Ethics

4. If a member fails to meet the criteria necessary to remove her from probation, then she will
obtain inactive status of Chi Delta Sigma Sorority

Amendment 5 – Alumni Membership Clarified


1. Chi Delta Sigma Alumni will assist the sorority through monetary and personal support.

2. Dues will presume one year upon receiving their undergraduate degree, unless the member
chooses to immediately pursue higher education, in which case dues will presume one year upon
receiving their next degree.

Amendment 6 – Passing of Amendments Article VII.C Repealed Ratified 1/30/2010


Article VII.C of the constitution of Chi Delta Sigma Sorority is herby repealed

Amendment 7 – Officers Ratified 1/30/2010


1. Article I A. is altered to:
Chi Delta Sigma shall have the following officers
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Historian/Public Relations
Educator
Amendment 8 – Officer Expectations Ratified 1/30/2010
1. The president is unable to hold any other positions, even if desired
2. All sisters are not required to help create a yearly scrapbook
3. If an officer is removed from office a formal statement shall be provided by an officer
informing the officer being removed of her removal.

Amendment 9 – President Duties Ratified 1/30/2010


1. The president is not required to meet with all officers individually, rather with all officers
together monthly.

Amendment 10 – Vice-President Duties Ratified 1/30/2010


1. The Vice-president shall sign as the vice-president, not as the president-elect

Amendment 11 – Treasurer Duties Ratified 1/30/2010


1. The treasurer is not required to send an annual finance report to the founding mothers

Amendment 12 – Public Relations/Historian Duties Ratified 1/30/2010


1. Article VI and VIII regarding the historian and public relations duties shall be combined.
2. The Public Relations/Historian officer does not have to make announcements about upcoming
Chi Delta Sigma Sorority events during community organizations.

3. The Public Relations/Historian officer does not have to take documentation during meetings

Amendment 13 – Educators combined Ratified 1/30/2010


1. Article VII and article VII shall be combined and referred to as Educator
2. The Educator shall not be responsible for educating sisters and the general community of all
cultures and to provide awareness of women of all ethnicities.
3. The Educator does not have to provide a minimum of two workshops to the community per
academic semester.
4. The Educator does not have to create power points, poster and/or other informational tools to
visually enhance presentations.

Amendment 14 – Adviser Duties Ratified 1/30/2010


1. The adviser(s) for Chi Delta Sigma Sorority shall not be selected by the founding mothers;
rather the adviser(s) will be selected by the active members.
2. Advisers term of office is not needed to be renewed by the active members yearly
3. The adviser shall serve as an overseer between the Chapter, the Center of Fraternity and
Sorority Life, United Greek Council and Campus Involvement, not the liaison.
Amendment 15 – Committees Ratified 1/30/2010
1. The committee in charge of potential members will consist of a total of three members,
including the Educator.
a. Committee members will be selected by the Educator and will go through a review by
cabinet.
2. The Chi Delta Sigma Sorority United Greek Association representative shall be selected on a
volunteer basis to comply with the United Greek Council and Association regulations and
requirements.

Amendment 16 – Officer Probation Clarified Ratified 1/30/2010


1. If the elected officer fails to meet the duties of her position they have the option of removing
themselves from their position or to be placed on probation for two month, while under
supervision of fellow cabinet members and adviser until improvements are made.
2. If the officer would like to resign from their position they must do so through a formal written
resignation to the cabinet. A new office will be elected into the position in accordance with
article XII
3. If the officer continues to fail to meet the duties of her position, then they may be removed
with a two-thirds vote for active members in accordance with article I B.

Amendment 17 – Officer Meetings Ratified 1/30/2010


1. Officers only need to meet weekly prior to the general meeting if they feel it is necessary to do
so.

Amendment 18 – Order of Business Ratified 1/30/2010


Article XIV of the Constitution of Chi Delta Sigma Sorority is herby repealed

Amendment 19 – Hazing Ratified 1/30/2010


1. All Chi Delta Sigma Sorority activities, actions and speech shall be in compliance with WSU
Hazing Policy

Amendment 20 – Member Status Ratified 1/30/2010


1. To have active standing with Chi Delta Sigma Sorority one must be an undergraduate student
as WSU. Comply with the sorority standards as set by the code of ethics. Must have paid dues,
be present at meetings, unless she has a valid reason not to attend, and must comply with the
standards set by the University

2. A member is considered inactive by non-compliance means if she has failed to meet criteria
during probationary period.
a. Inactive members do not have the right to vote
b. Inactive members cannot wear their letters
c. Inactive members are still allowed to participate in Chi Delta Sigma events and
meeting
d. To be taken off inactive status she must submit a formal request in addition to a review
from cabinet & adviser(s).
e. An officer must write a formal statement informing the member of their status.

3. A member is considered inactive by choice if she feels that she cannot adequately fulfill the
duties of being an active member.
a. Inactive members do not have the right to vote
b. Inactive members are still allowed to participate in Chi Delta Sigma events and
meetings
c. To be taken off inactive status she must submit a formal request in addition to a review
from cabinet & adviser(s).
d. A formal statement must be written to the cabinet and adviser(s) to notify them of their
inactive status.
