1. Wherever relevant to any specific discipline, the API score for paper in refereed journal would be augmented as follows: (i) indexed journals by 5 points; (ii) papers with impact factor between 1
and 2 by 10 points; (iii) papers with impact factor between 2 and 5 by 15 points; (iv) papers with impact factor between 5 and 10 by 25 points.
2. The API for joint publications will have to be calculated in the following manner: Of the total score for the relevant category of publication by the concerned teacher, the first/Principal author and
the corresponding author/supervisor/mentor of the teacher would share equally 60% of the total points and the remaining 40% would be shared equally by all other authors.

Explanation -1: The parameters listed in table of Category-III (Research and Academic contributions) shall have following capping in relation to the total API score claimed by the candidates:

Explanation -2: The above capping shall be subject to the extent that the incumbent may choose either of the two options a) adopt the existing %age cap for API claim of each of the subcategories in Category III (Research and Publications and Academic contribution) or b) adopt %age API in any three of the five sub-categories with a cap of 35% in each sub-category when
calculating the total API score for CAS. However, this option shall be available only up to the stage of Associate Professor.

7. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time at the time of
appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the
candidates are not genuine or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed any
substantial information, then his/her services shall be liable for termination apart from any offer legal action which
may be deemed appropriate.
8. The University reserves the right not to fill up any or all vacancies advertised if the circumstances so warrant.
Any consequential vacancies arising at the time of interview may also be filled up from the available candidates.
9. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected any stage even after the
issue of appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made
to the candidates.
10. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall
be final.
11. Candidates should send self attested copies of certificates and mark-sheets from matriculation onwards in
support of their qualifications. Originals should not be sent along with the application but these must be
produced at the time of interview.
12. The SC/ST candidates who are residents of the State of Uttar Pradesh must send the self attested copy of the
Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority.
13. The OBC candidates who are residents of the State of Uttar Pradesh must send the self attested copy of their
latest Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority not before six months from the date of tendering their
application.
14. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying they possess at least the minimum essential
qualifications laid down for each post, in this advertisement.
15. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview
and reasons for not being called for interview.
