highlyrespected.However,thosewhohadtoacquiretheirownmoneyarestilllookedup
to,butaredefinitelybelowthosewithOldMoney.PeoplewithNoMoneyareobviously
pooranddesirenothingmorethantobelikethegroupsabovethem.
TheBuchanansareaperfectexampleofhowOldMoneyisrepresentedinthe
book.Foronpage120,GatsbyandNickarediscussingDaisyandhowshehasadiscreet
