Introduction
The leather industry is associated with the
generation of huge amounts of liquid effluents (3035L/kg of raw material processed) (Suresh et al.,
2001). The wastewater may be characterized by
several key parameters such as sulfide, chromium,
oil and grease, BOD and COD (Kabdasli et al.,
1993).
