As we know we are learning about 1 john through several
weeks.
Actually, obeying word of god is crucial moral massage of 1
John.
John used to use this expression which is live in Jesus Christ.
Because Living in Jesus Christ means staying in word of God,
this is that listening word of god is equal to obeying word of
god.

This expression is consist of word of god and listening and
obeying

What is the word of God?

Everyone knows that it is bible.
Buy the way, this bible has lots of word of God.

If we summarize this whole word of God to one sentence, what

sentence can be??????
The answer is that love God and love your neighbors.

Jesus personally summarize it.

Luke 10:27
He answered, Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all
your mind[c]; and, Love your neighbor as yourself.[d]

So, lets talk about listening~

How we listening to word of God?
First!! Listening to Sunday worship massage.
And reading bible personally. These are that listening to word of
god and watching with our eyes.
But, more important thing is that listening with our heart.
How can we listening to word of god with our heart?
After we listen and read we need to contemplate and meditate.
In other words, think deeply.
Psalm 1: 1~2
Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,

but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,

and who meditates on his law day and night.

Buy the way, to realize the word of god, we need something

definitely.
It is supporting by holy spirit.
We learned last week. Lets see verse 2.
27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in
you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his
anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is
real, not counterfeitjust as it has taught you, remain in him.
Therefore, when we listen and read and think deeply about
word of god, holy spirit helps us to understand and realize.
Eventually, we can listening to word of God.

The third, we obey this word of god that we listen read

meditate.
We know this part is most hard part!!
We obey word of god one or two times and go back to the
previous life.
For example, we listen to Jesus has power forgive any sin.
After that, I decide to live as Jesus. I also will forgive other
peoples sin.

But, after I meet few people who does bad things to me, I
directly think why!!!!

And think do I need to be only one who forgive? No I dont want.

Some times can have victim mentality.
And finally give that up
Therefore, we need something important so that we obey word
of god.
What is that?
The answer is hope that Jesus will come.
Lets read 28
And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he
appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his
coming.
To live without give up, we need hope of the Second Advent of
Christ.
Everyone in here has this hope?
I really hope that we have this hope if the second advent of
Christ.

Finally, we listen to word of god read word of god and meditate

word of god.
And try to obey of the word of god. Do not give up to live this
life with hope the second advent of Christ.
