Instructions for use

Prior to installing the Hilti KF 170, 171 or
175 refrigeration pipe ring, apply an
approx. 1 cm wide layer of KF 30/45
sealant around the circumference, inside on
the pipe supporting surfaces, and on the
connecting surfaces of both half rings (as
illustrated).
The best temperature when using the
sealant is approx. 20 to 25C. If used in
cooler surroundings, keep the materials

Hilti MIP refrigeration pipe ring

A clear shortening of installation time due to:
Simple and quick prefitting of pipes using a single-screw pipe ring with
safety catch (main sizes).

Easy fitting of insulating unit (self-adhesive closure).
No sealants required.
Features
Designed for standard thicknesses of insulating material (material: elas-
tomeric caoutchouc).
Excellent joint between refrigeration pipe ring and insulating material
(elastomeric caoutchouc).
Completely isolated system (no thermal short-circuits).
Integrated vapour (diffusion) barrier.
Acoustic-insulated system.
Product free from asbestos, fibres, formal dehyde, silicone and CFCs.
