I have a passion for both language and education. I can


contribute my optimism, creativity, and diversity to any work
environment. My specialty in the classroom is creating activities
which energize and accelerate learning. I have been educated in
History, English, and Theatre. I have taught Elementary School,
Middle School, High School and Adult students. Finding a
contract which starts in March is my priority
because I will attend a CELTA Certification Course
in January 2009.
Taught for E Bo Yeong's Talking Club, 2008-2009 Foreign
Teacher:: Expanded English capacity for primary and middle school
grades. Elaborated upon curriculum with English activities in order to
apply linguistic and educational theory. Trained as a E Bo Young Talking
Club Teacher.

Worked in Citichurch, 2007-2008 Non-Profit Utility-Teacher::


Created and taught innovative P.E. and English Second Language
activities for primary and middle school grades. Directed plays Down by
the Creek Bank, Peter Pan, David and Goliath. Prepared community
members for performances with workshops in movement, public speaking,
and improvisation. Trained in SPARK physical education, a physical
exercise paradigm focusing on team-building.

Served for National Direct Americorps Service Year with Positive


Impact Miami, 2007-2008 Asset-Based Community Development
(ABCD):: Conducted appreciative inquiries across Miami-Dade County in
English and Spanish. Taught US History and English Second Language
for immigrants in Miami. Taught children and adults in of Little Havana,
Allapattah, and Doral. Doral Comunidad Cristiana continues to teach the
Citizenship Class to adults. Trained in Technology of Participation, a
model for collaborative problem-solving.

Performed with Camposition, Hybrid Theater, 2007-2008 Non-


Profit Artist-Activist:: Collaborated to produce and to perform
original theatre such as Bugchasers, Kitchen Monkey, Myspace Latino, Still
Life with Backpack, Tango Palace, and Miami's 111th Birthday Party.

Served in Appalachian and the Community Together (ACT), 2004-


2006 Alternative Spring Break Peer Leader of Urban Plunge with
National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH):: Designed service
schedule for a week in Washington DC. Developed experiential
education curriculum for group of 12 which included Role Playing,
Seminars, Service Education, Group Reflection and Decision Coordination.
ACT continues to use the Urban Plunge in their Alternative Spring Break
repertoire.
