Financial Aid/Cost of Attendance

• The primary source of Financial Aid that Federico Beauty Institute offers is Title IV Federal
Funding.
• Title IV Funding consists of Federal Pell Grants, Federal SEOG Grants, AND Federal Direct
Stafford Students Loans and the PLUS (parent) Loans, depending on what you qualify for.
• Federal Grants are given out based upon financial need, considering various qualifications
such as income, family size, assets, etc.
• Student Loans are not based on credit worthiness, yet there is a maximum amount that stu-
dents are allowed to take out per academic year. PLUS (parent) Loans are based on a credit
check, and if qualified they may apply for a loan up to the cost of the education.
• To apply for Title IV Funding the student must meet with a Financial Aid Advisor, submit a
completed FAFSA form, log onto www.fafsa.ed.gov enter Department of Education school
code #007253. Other sources of Financial Funding can include, but are not limited to:

- Private Scholarships acquired on an individual basis (example: Bureau of Indian
Affairs, CIMC, Rotary, Kiwanis, Various Salon Chain Scholarships, etc.) also check out
