Dear friends in ministry,

It is my delight and honor to be able to give a letter of reference for Pastor Tim Marshick, an Associate Pastor here
at Suncoast Cathedral.
Tim was hired as our Evangelism/Outreach Pastor, primarily to have feeding programs for the homeless and to
handle our walk in requests for assistance of funds. He now has that outreach up to 2 feedings a month, around
250+ people each feeding. Walk-ins he handles with more personal involvement by having them to attend church
for so many services and some other requirements. He has done an outstanding job with both of these ministries.
Secondly, he was our evangelism/outreach pastor in which he directed community outreaches such as Heaven's
Gates/Hell's Flames, pulling together several other churches to be involved. He worked with pastors from all
denominations in hosting several other outreaches to the Tampa Bay Area. He organized teams to be part of city
activities such as Gay Pride Day, Grand Prix races, working with city in cleanup of some housing areas. He had
teams that did outreach to trailer parks around the church, especially for Christmas, such as Angel Tree.
Tim also handled our hospitality/visitation/prayer teams to serve our own congregation. He is a teacher and began
the discipleship follow up programs for altar salvations, which he also was the overseer.
Another one of Tim's side gifts is his ability to host functions for pastors/church leadership such as Pastor's
Breakfast's for the Section; Christmas Banquet, working with the Events Director to present food preparation and
service. Great gift!!! For a year he took over the overseeing of the St Pete Christian School Lunchroom program
and brought in back into excellent standards and increased meal responses by providing such excellent meals for
the kids.
I am afraid there are so many things Pastor Tim was involved in that I am going to forget some of them but perhaps
this can give you an idea of his many God given talents and the calling he pursues. He is a man of great passion,
strong evangelistic spirit, and yet walks in gentleness and kindness to people of all walks of life from professionals
like the mayor and to the street druggies.
I worked with Tim during his entire ministry at Suncoast, including the past two years after I retired as part of his
ministry leadership. It will be a great loss to us at Suncoast, but due to some drastic financial cutbacks, his position,
along with the Business Administrator, Worship Pastor, were cut to part time hours. Some other positions were
cut completely. However, Tim is such a man of principle he was continuing to work 40 hours plus to fulfill the
duties needed in that ministry as that is just his heart.
Thank you for considering him for your staff. He is a great supporter and armor bearer for Senior Pastors.
