The 3XL series have been designed to withstand

the extreme heat that the new generation Class
D amplifiers create. Class D amplifiers heat
up the woofers voice coil two to three times hotter
and faster than a conventional class A/B amplifier.
This calls for Xtreme measures and special parts to
classify these as a true Class D Subwoofer. But
hey, this is PowerBass. We have it under control.
First, we use industrial assembly glues that handle
this excessive heat that would normally tear a
conventional subwoofer apart. Then there is
perimeter venting to allow air movement over the
voice coil built into our custom die cut, cast
aluminum basket. The basket works as a strong
foundation for our heavy duty non-pressed raw
pulp paper cone and redesigned inverted X
dustcap. The roughness of the cone breaks up
standing long waves for an even louder output
resulting in greater SPL.
The 3XL Subwoofers all feature 3 HD BASV voice
coil formers and CCAW high temperature voice
coil winding to help dissipate heat. To allow full
movement of the cone, we utilize an ultra high roll
(U-turn) treated foam surround that increases the
cone area for higher output along with linear cone
stability throughout the subwoofers 3 of peak to
peak excursion.

To make sure high voltages from the amplifier

reach the subwoofers, we designed Pro-Lock
terminals and incorporated FEA optimized Xtra
Xtra Xtra large dual stacked magnets to handle the
high power these subwoofers are designed for.

Ported Enclosures to ensure maximum power
handling with the loudest output possible

Boasting a custom turbine style frame

We utilize a combination of perimeter and pole
venting to keep air circulating over the voice

coil so everything stays cool.
A paper cone was selected for its natural
smooth bass reproduction and its ability to
provide high output with low distortion even
under the stress of high SPL. Finally, to make
sure the power gets to the subwoofer, we used
chrome push terminals for maximum current
transfer.
The XL subwoofers are Xtremely versatile and
offer amazingly low bass whether installed in a
small sealed enclosure or ported enclosure and

are available in 8, 10, 12, 15 (8 inch model is
a single 4-ohm woofer).
For those looking for a complete solution, we
have developed a loaded slot ported enclosure
featuring our small but mighty XL-84 woofer.
The XL-WB8 loaded enclosure is tuned to 30Hz
to ensure smooth, low and deep bass utilizing
the least amount of space possible. At last, a
versatile solution for efficient high power bass
that can fit almost anywhere.

Those seeking a shallow woofer that can handle more

power will find that our new XL-Shallow subwoofers
are just the ticket.
Using the same turbine style Polycarbonate/Glass Fiber
basket as our standard XL subwoofers this shallower
version offers all the features and reliability from the
Xtreme family. Boasting a flat injection molded cone
and inverted ferrite magnet these drivers come in
nearly 2-inches shorter than their standard XL
counterparts.
Available in two sizes the 10-inch and 12-inch single
voice coil configurations have both been optimally
designed for small sealed enclosuresthis new Xtreme
series handles the most power ever for a PowerBass

Our XTA range of amplifiers consists of one 4-channel

and three Mono Class D amplifiers. These amplifiers have
been designed to provide enough sheer raw power to run
your system at full tilt no matter what kind of music you
listen to. By using oversized high density heatsinks we
have eliminated the need for internal cooling fans which
can introduce unwanted noise. To prove our point the
flagship Class D model XTA-6000D weighs in at nearly

The XMA Series represents the very latest in Class D amplifier technology. It uses the new IR
(International Rectifier) platform which has been under development for the past several years. IR,

The XL series was developed for the
growing Power Sports market including
UTV and Marine applicationswhere
electronics must withstand harsh
environments. The circuit boards have
been conformally coated with a layer
of transparent material that protects
the parts against moisture, dust and
temperature extremes.
These ultra small weather resistant
amplifiers are ideal for all types of
outdoor audio applications such as
motorcycles, golf carts and off road
vehicles. But the small size also makes
these amps a great choice anywhere
space is a premium.

Our flagship coaxials received a major upgrade in both

sound and performance while at the same time
presenting a better value than ever before. We took our
no compromise approach to sound quality and refined
the drivers to perform even better by using an esoteric
twill woven cone material known as S2 Fiberglass. Then
we sealed the fiberglass with a gel coating to
strengthen the cone and reduce resonance.
We next combined that with a progressive dual roll
rubber surround to accurately control cone movement
for a controlled bass kick that most other speakers lack.
The ultra efficient Y-35 grade magnet assembly also

Our L Series Subwoofers have been engineered
to deliver the earth-shaking SPL and smooth
bass that SQ purists require.
Each L model features a redesigned Injection
Molded PP Cone. This cone combines deep bass
and distortion free sound. Next we designed a
single piece CNC machined back plate with
extended pole piece to insure a strong symmetric
magnetic field for increased operating efficiency.
A sandblast finish was applied for good looks

Our mighty M-Series subwoofers have been

recently updated. How did we improve on our
rave reviewed M-woofer? We engineered a
larger dustcap and added a non-resonant
treatment to our stamped steel basket. The
result is less distortion at higher power levels,
keeping one step ahead as a proven
performance and value leader.
For increased operating efficiency, a CNC

machined one piece backplate and pole plate are
used to reduce magnetic losses and maximize air
flow keeping the voice coil running cooler.

Our improved S-Series subwoofers bring value to
a whole new level. This year we rounded out the
line by adding a couple of 8-inch subwoofers.
You will be impressed with the oversized motor
structure for high-power handling and greater
reliability during heavy hitting bass passages.
Our Thin Woofers are only 3.25" deep but don't let
its lean size fool you, these woofers are big on
bass. We gave our engineers the dificult task of
builiding a thin woofer that was up to the
PowerBass reputation of great performance at an
exceptional value.
Our 12-inch version features an even larger

magnet for improved performance. We developed
an improved 4-layer wool/paper cone for very
natural smooth bass reproduction that provides
high output with low distortion.
Starting with our proprietary polycarbonate/glass

fiber composite frame, we built a basket that is
stronger then steel and lighter then cast
aluminum. Our unique one piece cone is another
break through in woofer technology, more durable
then paper, this injected molded cone is able to
withstand the abuse that comes from delivering
deep bass in a small enclosure.
PowerBass S-Series woofers now sport a treated

non-resonant finished, stamped steel basket that
is custom tooled with our distinctive X design. A
2 BASV voice coil former is used on the 10 and
12-inch models, while a 1.5 former can be found
on our brand new 8-inch models. These new
8-inch subs require only 3.5 mounting depth.
By adding a tough wide roll rubber surround and

2-inch vented voice coil, we were able to develop
a woofer that has the ability to play loud in small
places. The PowerBass Thin Woofer makes true
bass a reality.
Like the entire Autosound range, we also offer a

Large Roll foam surround for precise linear
movement of the cone, which equals loud bass.
The S Series subwoofers are well-suited for small
sealed or ported enclosures and use dual 4-ohm
and single 4-ohm voice coils for multiple bass
applications. Now more than ever, our S-Series
woofers provide lots of value without sacrificing
hard-hitting performance.

our engineers have designed an affordable, yet
powerful solution that will deliver the optimum
bass punch you are looking for with our PS-WB
loaded woofer boxes. We take a unique design
approach and engineer the woofers to be work
optimally in our woofer boxes, not the other
way around like our competition. This gives our

enclosures a deeper, tighter bass that handles
more power for your hard earned cash.
Each enclosure uses a vented "bass reflex" design
that is accented with chrome, flared Venturi
ports turned to a very low frequency for loud bass
that shakes every bone in your body.

For vehicles where space is limited, PowerBass
offers the PS-WB110T and PS-WB112T sealed "air
suspension" truck enclosure that are designed
to fit under or behind your seat that deliver tight,

The ASA3-400.1 mono subwoofer amp is a

great choice when yourre looking to pound
out the bass. With 200 watts, theres plenty of
juice on tap to power our S or M Series single
4-ohm woofers.
User-friendly features like a variable bass boost

control with 18 dB of boost at 45 Hz to give you
more output from your subwoofers. If you really
want serious control of your subwoofer output,
an optional remote gain is available for all 2, 4
and 5-channel models.
Wire a pair of 4-ohm woofers in parallel and

the ASA3-400.1 will kick out a solid 400 watts.

S-Series coaxial have made a name for themselves
with avid music fans the world over. So how do
you improve on a winner? As the saying goes, if
it isntt broke, dont fix it!
So we focused on a few key points while leaving
the rest intact. The result is our new and
improved S-Series coaxials.

Without question a fantastic replacement for most

OEM speaker applications, the S Series speaker
systems continue to offer great performance at a
great price.
This range offers a complete line-up specifically
sized for OEM drop-in replacement of 2.75", 4",
5.25", 4x10", 6.75" and 6x8".
This year we modified our 2.75" full range speaker
to fit many Chrysler and now Ford applications.
A new tweeter was developed for our 3.5" and
4x6" speakers so they now offer zero protrusion
and can fit virtually any vehicle.
With so many sizes offered in this coaxial range
these speakers make an excellent choice for Autosound enthusiasts who seek true value along
with easy installation. We invite you to put our S
Series to the test and compare them to speakers
priced much higher.
Our proprietary 2-layer paper cone features DDC,
allowing you to hear smooth and rich bass all the
way through the mid-range tones. For the high
frequencies, we feature a low profile, pure silk
dome tweeters on most models--like the type
used in expensive home systems to make sure
you get a complete hi-fi experience.
