Applications. All data feeds are initiated by UC4 scheduler tool so that the source data
should be refreshed for every half an hour, one hour, daily, weekly based on interfaces.

Data Hub is a comprehensive web based platform that supports internal bank applications
used across by all the branches of Scotia bank in Canada. These applications include
Borrowing, Investments, Day-to-Day banking, Insurance Services for Personal Banking,
Products & Packages for Small Businesses, Financial Solutions & Corporate Investments
for Medium & Large Businesses and supports regular banking operations. Data Hub is also
connected to other non-branch bank applications and few customer facing applications.

send from 7 upstream systems to FDV Perimeter. The SCOT application developed using
Data stage to process the data from various feeds by Dimension, Fact & Aggregate jobs
wise.
The batch run triggers automatically by scheduler tool Autosys. The data will be loaded
into RMS Database, there by Business will access the reports generated by Business
Objects Tool.

Anti Money Laundering (WB AML) System. This is useful in tackling funds flow like
terrorist activities, Money Laundering, Suspicious Transactions. It has implemented for 8
Countries comprising of USA, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand,
Frankfurt, India & Malaysia.
Business analyze the COGNOS / SDMS reports. If any discrepancies found, Alerts will be
generated to the Bank.

Daily calculate how much is the market Risk for the Bank by classification of countries
into batches.
Batches start at predefined batch run time by receiving files from the different Source
Systems. The data in the files will be Extracted, Transformed and Loaded to Database
tables in the System. From the system, the business for the concerning countries in the
batch will get the COGNOS reports. Based on the generated COGNOS reports, the
Business will be able to identify the risk involved for the concerning countries of the
batch and at GROUP Level which consists of all countries, the business estimates the risk
at Global Level for the bank.
