2. Once AEGIS receives your email, acknowledgement of receipt will be
sent to your email along with an IC sign up sheet, please sign up for an
IC schedule. All ICs will be conducted virtually.
3. Show up to your virtual ICs. Make sure your 2 recommendation
forms have already been sent to aegis.recruitment2015@gmail.com
by this time.

JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS


EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Job Description
1. Acts as the overall
coordinator and project
manager of AEGIS 2016
2. Ensures that all AEGIS 2016
outputs are delivered on time
3. Represents AEGIS 2016 in all
official school functions and
businesses
4. Acts as major signatory for all
official and financial
documents
5. Presides over all AEGIS
Editorial Board meetings
6. Reports yearbook progress to
the AEGIS Board and the
universitys Administrative
board
7. Ensures unity and
productivity of the group
8. Leads and inspires the team
in achieving goal
9. Approves and oversees plans
related to the production of
the yearbook
10.
Responsible for planning
promotions and top-level
recruitment
11. Performs final proofreading
of all written content in the
yearbook

Qualifications
1. Preferably has worked for
publications, like The Guidon,
Matanglawin, Heights, or
outside publications
2. Preferably has knowledge in
both the technical, logistical,
managerial, and financial
aspects of publishing a
yearbook
3. Can speak and write in fluent
English or Filipino, and has
competent knowledge on the
rules of grammar and
language usage
4. Has been able to manage at
least one (1) school-wide
project under any student
organization or special
projects
5. Must have experience in
creative work (writing,
graphic design, visual arts,
etc.)
6. Must be part of the 2016
graduating batch, either a
senior or supersenior

MANAGING EDITOR
Job Description
1. Acts as coordinator and project
manager for all organizational,
operational, and financial
matters of the yearbook
2. Supervises all operations of the
yearbook
3. Spearheads contingency plans
for the team in coordination
with the Projects Director
4. Manages and implements
standard operating procedures
within the organization
5. Troubleshoots problems, issues,
and concerns that may arise
from and are related to the
organizational, operational, and
financial functions of the
yearbook
6. Coordinates with the finance
and marketing teams with
regards to external negotiations
7. Regularly reports to the Editor-

Qualifications
1. Preferably has worked for
publications, like The Guidon,
Matanglawin, Heights, or
outside publications
2. Preferably has knowledge in
managerial and financial
aspects of publishing a
yearbook
3. Can speak and write in fluent
English or Filipino, and has

ASSOCIATE EDITOR
Job Description

Qualifications

3. Regularly reports to the
Editor-in-Chief about creative,
editorial, and production
progress
4. Makes sure that
publishing/production
timeline is followed
5. Acts as the coordinator and
project manager for all
creative, editorial, and
production matters of the
yearbook
6. Spearheads the conceptmaking/postulation of the
general look, concept, and
theme of the yearbook
7. Plans and works together with
the Executive Creative
Director about the yearbooks
production requirements
8. Troubleshoots problems,
issues, and concerns hat may
arise from and are related to
the creative, editorial, and
production functions of the
yearbook
9. May serve as an official
signatory [for the Editor-inChief] regarding all creative,
editorial, and production
matters [when the Editor-inChief is unavailable]

1. In charge of all graphic
illustrations, creative
requirements, and the
general look of the yearbook
2. Makes sure that all yearbook
requirements are consistent
and coherent with the agreed
upon theme and concept for
the year
3. Plans and works together
with the Executive
Photography Director and the
Associate Editor with regard
to the yearbooks production
4. Supervises professional
formatting and lay-outing of
the yearbook pages (in
coordination with the
printer/publisher)
5. In charge of designing the

2. Preferably knows how to use
software applications like
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
InDesign and other similar
applications
3. Preferably has experience in
preparing materials for
publications (ie. layout and
design)
4. Preferably has knowledge in
the technical aspects of
publishing a yearbook
5. Must have experience in
creative work (graphic
design, visual arts, etc.)
