January 1
January 1st observed as Global Family Day.
Global Family Day, One Day of Peace and Sharing, is celebrated every January 1 in the United States as a
global day of peace and sharing. Global Family Day grew out of the United Nations Millennium celebration,
"One Day In Peace".
About:
Originally supported in the United States by Linda Grover, the source of the idea itself is difficult to pin down
because many grassroots efforts around the world had independently targeted this date as a day for peace
and had worked separately to prevail on local governments and the U.N. to establish such a day. These
efforts included a 1996 children's book One Day In Peace, January 1, 2000 by Steve Diamond and Robert
Alan Silverstein, which was translated into 22 languages, and a utopian novel Tree Island by Glover herself.
January 4
January 4th observed as World Braille Day.
World Braille Day is celebrated every year on 4th January around the world to commemorate the birthday of
Louis Braille. Louis Braille is credited with inventing the Braille language which helps blind people to read as
well as write.
About World Braille Day
Braille is a code that uses bumps and indentation on a surface to represent letters, which can be recognized
by touch. Louis Braille, a French man who was blinded in an accident at a very young age, invented it.
Before Braille invented this form of communication, visually impaired people read and wrote using the Hauy
system which embossed Latin letters on thick paper or leather. This was a complicated system that required
much training and only allowed people to read, not write. Discouraged by this, Braille at the age of 15 invented
the Braille code.
While there are now several different versions of Braille, Louis Brailles code was arranged in small
rectangular blocks called cells with raised dots in a 3 x 2 pattern. Each cell represented a letter, number or
punctuation.
Since Braille is a code, all languages and even certain subjects like mathematics, music and computer
programming can be read and written in Braille.

surprising to find out that this is the reality that we are facing nowadays.
The homeless childrens rampant growth escalates so fast every year. Apparently, they badly need to be
rescued from their disheartened situation that they dont deserve to experience at a very young age.
Children who had lost their parents who are supposed to be their first line of defence and refuge, lacks
guidance and security which cause them to become more susceptible and acquire a higher chance to be
exposed with domestic violence, abuse, malnutrition, exploitation and mistreatment.

Ambedkar as chairman. While India's Independence Day celebrates its freedom from British Rule, the
