Noni (Morinda Citrifolia) is a fruit with extraordinary healing properties that most North Americans
have never heard of. It's been successfully used for over 2,000 years in Polynesia, China, India and
elsewhere. Noni migrated with the inhabitants to the South Pacific islands, Tahiti, Hawaii, Malaysia and wherever there is pollution-free volcanic soil. Like Aloe Vera, Kelp, Papaya, PycnogenolTM; and
other botanicals, the extract of the Noni plant has been demonstrated to improve a wide variety of
health conditions.
For use in the United States, the Noni fruit is prepared primarily as a food supplement in juice form.
Although the plant is very bitter and has an adverse odor, the noni juice supplement is very palatable
in taste and smell because of the addition of natural fruit and berry juices. (1)
Dr. Neil Solomon, by the end of the 20th Century, was considered a recognized leader in medical
nutrition and nutraceuticals, and one the foremost experts on Morinda Citrifolia (Noni). Dr. Neil
Solomon is a a New York Times best-selling author, and wrote The Noni Phenomenon and a number
of other published works on Noni and its medicinal uses. In his book, The Noni Phenomenon, he
writes, "After reviewing the results of the more than 10,000 people using Noni, I have determined that
Noni undoubtedly possesses a variety of efficacious medicinal properties that modern medicine
cannot ignore."
Noni, also known as Indian Mulberry is a small evergreen shrub or tree, usually less than 10 feet
high, occasionally up to 20 feet. The conspicuous large dark green shiny leaves are generally paired,
except where forming fruit. Thick and oval in shape, they are deep veined, short-stemmed and 8
inches or longer. The flowers form in globular heads, about an inch long and bearing many small
white flowers. The flower heads grow to become mature fruit, 3 to 4 inches in diameter. To
Polynesians Noni is a valuable plant to have nearby the home of anyone wishing to utilize the many
natural healing properties of this remarkable life sustaining plant. Noni is has been used for centuries
by early Polynesian settlers, and through migration is now growing throughout the Pacific Islands
(Hawaii), Asia, Australia, New Zealand and even parts of South America. But its birth place is the
Tahitian Islands. (2)
Over 150 nutraceuticals have been found in the noni fruit, some of those identified (mostly in very
small amounts) are anthraquinones, beta-carotene, calcium, linoleic acid, magnesium, pectin,
potassium, proline, protein, proxeronine, proxeroninease, scopoletin, beta-sitosterols, sterols,
phenylalanine and tyrosine, ursolic acid, all the B vitamins and antioxidants like vitamin C,
proanthocyanadins and anthocyanadins.
Noni stimulates the immune system. The compounds in noni juice actually work at the cellular level
to cause cell regeneration and increase cell function. Noni is effective against at least seven different
kinds of harmful bacteria. It is also effective against fungi and parasites. Moreover, it is a natural
antiseptic and has also been shown to have an analgesic effect. The benefits of this plant (juice)
many.
Reported Benefits and Uses of Noni Juice:
Noni as a medicine: the fruit and its juices have been used in the treatment of diabetes, heart
troubles and high blood pressure, with different portions prescribed for different illnesses.
The prepared juices can be diluted with clean water or fruit juices, and drunk before meals. It is
good to seek the advice of a health practitioner before using any supplements.
Today the standard practice is to us the Noni Juice daily - Dosage is 1 ounce per day!. The juice is
then mixed with other juices to make the juice more palatable in both taste and smell.
Noni has been reported to reduce the symptoms of:
Arthritis (Joint Mobility, Stiffness & Joint Health)

Nonis Miraculous Health Benefits
Research indicates that Noni stimulates the immune system, regulating cell function and cellular
regeneration of damaged cells. The fact that Noni seems to operate on the very basic and critical
cellular level may explain why it's useful for a wide variety of conditions. Dr. Richard Dicks, a clinician
from New Jersey, says, "We're beginning to realize that we must get back to basics with our bodies.
What it boils down to is, either burn nutrients or burn your body. Noni saves our bodies by giving us the
nutrients we need."
Actually, Noni has over a hundred primary and secondary applications. This booklet will focus mainly
on the primary uses. Noni is invaluable as a healing herb because of the following functions, which will
all be discussed in more detail:
Alleviates pain.
Research
The following table contains statistical analysis of the data, including both primary and
secondary applications obtained from surveying more than 50 doctors and other
health professionals who had taken Noni and/or given it to over 10,000 patients. It
depicts the number of people who drank Noni Juice for 23 different conditions, the
percentage that were helped, and the primary active components (PAC) believed to be
involved. although the PAC is the major component, it is the total blend of all natural
ingredients that result in Nonis optimal health benefits.

NOTE: Noni can be taken together with all other medications - there are almost no negative
interactions. In some situations, Noni can allow other medications to act more efficiently. You
should tell your health professional that you are taking Noni, as your physician might want to
decrease the dose of the medication prescribed. This often reduces the side effects from the
original medication.
Reported side effects were minimal. Less than 5 percent experienced minor belching, loose
stools, allergy, or developed a mild rash. The belching disappeared when the dose was
decreased. The rash and loose stools cleared within 72 hours after stopping treatment. Noni has
(1)
been reported safe for pregnant and/or nursing mothers.
According to Steven Hall, M.D., of the state of Washington Not only does Noni provide many
benefits on its own, but it also increases the effectiveness of other treatments. He has found that
Noni is incredible because it offers help to people who could not be helped by traditional medical
science.
Increased effectiveness and an alternative treatment to drugs are just two of the reasons that Noni is
such a valuable herb. Hall's results were consistent with the previously reported positive response
from 78 percent of Noni users. Noni also has the following characteristics:
Noni works synergistically with other food supplements and/or medications.
Noni probably helps with prevention, and works optimally in conjunction with other antioxidants.
Noni helps animals heal faster.
Dr. Schechter, director of the Natural Healing Institute in California, reports that there has been a
wealth of information supporting the traditional uses and health benefits of Noni. His work supports
what the Kahunas (traditional healers in Hawaii) have known and used beneficially for thousands of
years. He confirmed in an interview that the positive results obtained by physicians using Noni were
consistent with the results obtained by naturopathic clinicians. Dr. Schechter has treated hundreds of
patients with noni and has been very impressed with the variety of illnesses that responded to Noni.
The following gives a synopsis of some important data concerning Dr. Schechter's clinical
investigations:
Noni stimulates the production of T-cells in the immune system. T-cells play a pivotal role in fighting
disease.
Noni acts to enhance the immune system involving macrophages and/or lymphocytes, which are a
vital part of your body's natural defenses.
Noni has been shown to combat many types of bacteria.
Noni has unique anti-pain effects.
Noni inhibits pre-cancer function and the growth of cancer tumors by allowing abnormal cells to
function more normally.
Dr. Schechter states, As a clinical therapist, I have seen Noni generate significant, even profound,
therapeutic benefits for both prevention and self-help of a wide range of health problems." (1)
Noni juice is packed with beneficial minerals and vitamins, and it contains nutritional enzymes,

Xeronine: An alkaloid believed by early researchers to stimulate cell function
and regenerate damaged cells.
Anthraquinones (Damnacanthol): Important antiseptic and anti-bacterial
plant chemicals found in Noni juice. They have been shown in laboratory tests
to kill pre-cancer cells, Lewis Lung carcinoma, and prevent DNA damage. It
stimulates the immune response to cancer by activating the body's T-cells, or
"Cancer Killers." T-cells are extremely important for people suffering from
cancer, AIDS, or other diseases which compromise the body's immune
systems.
Glycosides: Newly discovered compounds that prevent cancer and scavenge
free radicals.
Scopoletin: A little-known, but hard-working chemical component of Noni
juice with many wonderful health benefits. It is anti-inflammatory, antihistamine, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. It regulates serotonin, the body's
"feel-good" hormone, which helps to ward off feelings of anxiety and
depression, and may be why people who drink Noni juice often experience a
sense of well-being. It is a vasodilator and lowers blood pressure. It binds to
melatonin and helps to regulate sleep, hunger, and body temperature. As if all
these were not enough, scopoletin is also an analgesic.
Terpene: Rejuvenates cells and rids the body of toxins.
Limonene: A bitter cancer-fighting compound commonly found in Noni juice
and citrus fruits.
Soluble and Insoluble Fiber: Soluble fiber helps cleanse the blood, decrease
choloesterol, binds to fats and balances blood sugar levels. Insoluble fiber
("bulk") is important for colon health.
Amino Acids: Amino acids are the buildings blocks for proteins, important for
most body functions. The "essential" amino acids are the ones our bodies
cannot make and we therefore must get from our diet. Noni Juice contains 17
of the 20 known amino acids, including all 9 essential amino acids.
Essential Fatty Acids: Fatty acids are the building blocks of fats and oils. The
"essential" fatty acids in Noni Juice are the important poly-unsaturated fats
that we must get from our diet. They maintain healthy skin, nerve cells, heart
tissue and blood vessels and help balance mood. They keep cell membranes
working properly and efficiently, improving the nutrient-toxin exchange.
good health.
Anti-Oxidant: Anti-oxidants, such as green tea, pycnogenol, and vitamin C,
among others, are important in neutralizing "free radicals", or particles that
cause DNA damage that can lead to cancer. Noni Juice has recently been
found to be the most effective of all known anti-oxidants.
Low Glycemic Index: A 3:1 ratio of carbohydates to fiber in Noni Juice
helps balance blood sugar levels.
Analgesic, Anti-Inflammatory, and Selective Cox II Inhibitor: Unlike
typical pain relievers and anti-inflammatories, Noni Juice decreases pain
and inflammation while protecting stomach, kidney, and liver cells.
Humectant: As a humectant, Noni Juice helps tissues retain moisture.
Not everybody agrees about the benefits of noni and noni juice, though. Some people who oppose
the use of noni juice as a dietary supplement promulgate the idea that noni juice consumers are
simply purchasing nothing more than sugar water. Therefore, according to these folks, patrons who
support noni juice resellers are getting conned into buying magic bottles of sugar water with little to
no health values.
Ms. Moss Greene, the Nutrition Editor for BellaOnline, is one of the people who contests the claims
made in regard to noni juice. She relates noni distributors to snake oil salesman. For health, weight
loss, and natural nutritional purposes, Ms. Greene discourages the use of any noni juice. The
following is quoted from her article entitled Noni Juice Is It Hot or Is It Not? and published under
the Nutrition section of the BellaOnline website.
Noni contains a so-called miracle ingredient named proxeronine which is supposed to be a
precursor to xeronine. Now, have you ever heard of anyone dying from a deficiency of either
proxeronine or xeronine? No, you havent? Have you ever seen either of these two elements on the
RDA list? No? Well, have you ever seen any valid peer review research that proves anything
whatsoever about these two ingredients? Of course not! And, more than likely, you never will.
Theres absolutely NO real science, NO real research and NO real proof NOTHING behind the
Noni salesmans hype that his bottles of sugary juice cures arthritis, ulcers, sprains, depression, high
blood pressure, menstrual cramps and on and on and on.
Noni is supposed to be a juice from the fruit of the Polynesian morinda citrifolia tree.
As a fruit, wouldnt it have some nutritional value? After all, its being marketed as a nutritional
product. Lets see. A current independent laboratory test shows only miniscule amounts of B vitamins
and virtually none of the antioxidants vitamins A, E, carotenoids and flavonoids. Noni does have
some vitamin C, but only 6 mg per serving, which means youd have to drink 10 servings in one day
just to get the RDA or minimum daily requirement for vitamin C. Noni also has some protein and
calcium. But youd need to consume 22 bottles for your bare minimum grams of protein.
So, since theres absolutely no valid research to back any claims for Nonis mystery ingredients and
since lab tests prove it has virtually no nutritional value, what does it have? It has the same thing
snake oil salesman have been selling for decades SUGAR WATER! Noni Juice is 96% high insulin
producing carbohydrates. Then how can they sell so much to so many innocent people? They do it by
telling misleading stories about the results they say you can get.
The Morinda company says Noni Juice is smart nutrition. I dont think so! If youre really smart,
when the Noni Juice salesman gets out his bottles of sugar water, youll scream, No, No, Noni!
Because Noni is a great big NOT! (4)
Mr. Stuart Adams from Australia agrees with Ms. Greene and also declares that noni juice is a
worthless sugar drink that only "mindless imbeciles" believe has any value whatsoever. The following
except is from his article published on his website, Wallachism.com. You would have to be a
goose if you believed all the utter nonsense associated with Noni Juice. Im sure Wallach & Co. just
add a Noni juice supplement to their regime for those ignorant suckers who have already been
sucked into the Noni juice cult following. Those mindless imbeciles who believe that Noni Juice has
some powerful, mystical, magical power, even though conveniently there is absolutely no scientific
evidence to back it. Im sure Wallach & Co. know its useless, but hey, whilst ever there are people
stupid enough to fall for the Noni juice scam, why not add it in there!
The Goose Juice whole sales for $AU67.25 for a 946ml bottle (32 1 ounce doses)
Seeing as Noni Juice is a complete scam, I;m not even going to bother comparing it to other Noni
juice products. (5)
Peterson said the company rejects the idea that the juice has no medicinal
value.
"It is preposterous to think that people would buy and drink our juice for any
other reason than the fact that they feel a benefit in doing so," he said.
