Beach report card: April 2014-March 2015

Water quality is tested for indicator bacteria year-round at 324 locations statewide
445 sites April through October by various public agencies. Heal the Bay analyzes
the data, assigns grades to the beaches and advises that beachgoers use the
information to minimize their exposure to potentially contaminated water.

100 depending upon the severity of bacterial counts.
The better the grade, the lower the risk of illness to
swimmers, surfers and bathers.
