CE Robotics & Automation Lab:

This laboratory was established in September 2000 in the Computer Engineering Department of
Sharif University of Technology with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Industries.
Our main goals are: Learning, Education, and Research.
Now, there are two main groups in the Lab:
- Logic Analysis Group
- Programmable Logic Controller Group
We hope to be able to:
- Research in Robotics & Automation fields.
- Document our knowledge and experience in this area for others.
- Learn and develop our knowledge.

Logic Analysis Group

Debugging today's digital systems is tougher than ever. Increased product

requirements, complex software. and innovative hardware technologies make
it difficult to meet your time-to-market goals.
The 16700 Series logic analysis systems provide the simplicity and power
you need to conquer complex systems by combining state/timing analysis,
oscilloscopes, pattern generators, post-processing sets, and emulation
in one integrated system. "Agilent Technologies"

PLC Group

Programmable logic controllers, also called programmable controllers or

PLCs, are solid- state members of the computer family, using integrated
circuits instead of electromechanical devices to implement control functions.
They are capable of storing instructions, such as sequencing, timing,
counting, arithmetic, data manipulation, and communication, to control
industrial machines and processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which of your PLC Video Training Series is right for me? We have four Video Training
Series:
1. The Electrical & Motor Controls Video Training Series is designed to cover the five most important
maintenance areaspower distribution, programmable controllers, sensors and components, ladder
control circuits and diagrams, and motor controls.
2. Our Advanced PLC Video Training Series is a comprehensive program applicable to all makes and
models of programmable controllers.
3. The MicroLogix 1000 Controller Total Training Series is the program for you if you're using a
MicroLogix 1000 controller. It's designed to help electrical maintenance and engineering personnel
understand, program, and troubleshoot this controller. What brands of PLCs do you cover?
With the exception of our MicroLogix 1000 Controller Total Training Series, all of our PLC products are
generic. The programs can be applied to any make and model of PLC. What if I need to train
additional people? Each video training series comes with one student kit. If you have additional
people to train, then we recommend ordering additional student kits. What methods will you
accept for payment? We accept three methods of payment (1) major credit/purchase card (2) a
check drawn on a United States bank, or (3) a company purchase order.

1. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Card information can be given
verbally, by fax or mail using an order form, by written request, or on a formal purchase order.
Your card will be charged on the actual ship date of your order.

2. Company and personal checks mailed with orders must be drawn on a United States bank.
Please be sure to include any additional charges, such as express shipping cost, tax (if
applicable), and additional shipping costs for international orders. If you have a question about
these additional charges, please call 1-770-240-2200 ext 115 or e-mail us at
info@industrialtext.com.

3. Company purchase orders are acceptable if the purchase amount is $500 or greater. Payment
terms are net 30.

What is your return policy? All of our products come with an unconditional 30-day money-back
guarantee. How long will it take to receive my order? All orders placed by 3 p.m. will ship that
same day via UPS ground. If you need it faster, call for next- or 2nd-day air charges. What if I still
have questions? Please call us at 1-770-240-2200 ext. 115 or e-mail us at info@industrialtext.com.
One of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.

This program covers the most common switches, timers, and control devices found
in your plant. You have hundreds (probably thousands) of these devices in your
plant. At a cost of $25 to $250 per component, this program will quickly pay for itself.
We show how these devices work, how they are wired, and how to troubleshoot
them. This program also provides the first step in learning ladder diagrams.

Solve Even the Trickiest Component Failures

Avoid costly wiring mistakesread multiposition selector switches in ladder

diagrams

Read the action and timing diagrams of ON-delay and OFF-delay timers so
that when something goes wrong, you'll know exactly which component to
replace

Avoid intermittent problemsmake sure control relays are receiving the

proper steady voltage

Learn how to cut your spare parts inventory to a minimum since many
control devices share components

Troubleshoot tricky push button problemsdon't replace the whole thing
