CAUTION)
Basically, 2 pin blue connector stop lamp switch (93810-26RWB) should be used for FD/FDe vehicles
equipped with M/T, GSL engine and without cruise control.
However, starting from 11MY, FDe vehicles equipped with M/T, Gamma 1.4/1.6 GSL engine and without
cruise control should use the 4 pin gray connector stop lamp switch (93810-3KRWA).

5. SERVICE PROCEDURE
STOP LAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

- A : Location of the stop lamp switch
(under drivers crash pad)

2. Disconnect the stop lamp switch connector (B).

3. Loosen the upper mounting nut (C) of the

current stop lamp switch.

4. Remove the lower mounting nut (D) of the

current stop lamp switch.
* Lower mounting nut
: 7.8 ~ 9.8 Nm (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lbf-ft)

5. Remove the current stop lamp switch assembly

(E), and then install the new stop lamp switch in
reverse order of removal.

NOTE
- If the original stop lamp switch is of 2 pin type,
be sure to use the 2 pin part including extension
wires.
- In case of FD and FDe, additionally add the
ground wire in accordance with the procedure
GROUND WIRE ADDITION (FOR FD).

6. Adjust the gap between the stop lamp switch

lower end and the stopper (F) with the brake pedal
released.
Specification : 1.0 ~ 2.0 mm (0.04 ~ 0.08 in)

7. Verify that the stop lamp on the rear
combination lamp operates normally when
depressing the brake pedal.

 GROUND WIRE ADDITION (FOR FD)

1. Connect one end of the ground wire (A) to the

bottom of the upper mounting nut (B).

2. Connect the other end of the ground wire to the

mounting point (C) located at the brake pedal
bracket.
* Ground mounting nut
: 4.9 ~ 5.9 Nm (0.5 ~ 0.6 kgf.m, 3.6 ~ 4.3 lb-ft)
CAUTION
Make sure that the ground wire does not interfere
with the brake & accelerator pedals.
