Announcement of

Anticipated Part-Time Faculty Openings

Department:

Computer Science

Effective Date of Appointment:

Academic Year 2015-2016

All part-time faculty appointments are temporary and do not confer academic rank. Final determination of part-time
teaching assignments is contingent upon student enrollment figures and funding.
Anticipated needs: see pages that follow
Current Salary Range: $1214-$1834 per unit
Application Process: Applicants need to forward a current resume and this letter with designated specific courses or
areas they are interested in teaching. The resume should include educational background, prior teaching experience,
evidence of scholarship, and/or related professional experience.
The Department of Computer Science has created thirty distinct application pools based on the courses we believe may
be offered during the 2015-2016 academic year. To apply for consideration within a specific course application pool,
you need to express an interest in teaching a specific Fall 2015 course session from the pool or place a X on the header
line describing the pool. The courses sessions identified on the form are specifically for Fall 2015 but you are applying
for pool consideration for the full academic year. For full descriptions of all the pools, please visit:
http://www.csun.edu/compsci/positions/
If you are receiving a hardcopy of this announcement, it will be accompanied by an Affirmative Action Survey Form
with a prepaid return envelope to be used exclusively for returning the Affirmative Action Survey Form. We are
requesting that everyone complete an Affirmative Action Survey Form; if you did not receive one with this application,
the Department will send you a form at the time you submit your application. Please send your application and resume
directly to the Department at the address appearing below; do not include your application and resume in the Affirmative
Action Survey return envelope.
Inquiries and applications should be addressed to:
