BOTH 7606 Power Modules being disabled - But still running!

Unanswered Question

panthrax00 May 27th, 2014

Anyone ever see this before? We've been having alarms for the last week or so complaining
that one of the power supplies has had a failure. Shipped a new PS, and was going to have it
put in, when we noticed the other PS started alarming as well. And both are alarming at the
same time. 0 watts available. But... it's online! Weird. 7606, running an (admittedly old) IOS
12.2(33)SRB3 and year and a half uptime. We're afraid of rebooting the thing, and obviously
don't think swapping out power supplies will help. Backplane issue? IOS bug? Or is this stuff
controlled on the supervisors and replacement/switch will fix? A brief Googling, bug search, and
looking through these forums hasn't brought up much. Any help is appreciated!

I've seen quite a few of those being affeced by CSCsk91267.

Your IOS is within the ones affected, not sure if this is the problem but would be nice to try to
upgrade it.
