6 CAPACITOR APPLICATION
5.6.1 Capacitor as starter motor
We know there is a starter capacitance in indication motor Fig. (9). we connect capacitance in series with
winding (staring winding). The current that is flowing in starting winding I will lead voltage V by phase
angle. Where V applied cross the circuit. The current in main winding are lagging with applied voltage
cross the circuit And the different in phase angle between current total and Phase diagram voltage. Is
current & I rotor are obtained by connect capacitor in series with start winding Fig. (10). in this kind of
capacitance are visible as separated unite it is outside of motor. [10]
When motor start to run, and it became 80% -76% of full lead the switches S
(Centrifugal switch) will open the circuited with contain the capacitor and starter winding from main
winding Fig. (11). in this time the phase different between I stator and I Motor between 76%. Capacitance
will support the magnetic field of start winding where the load can be a compressors or elevator. So
capacitance should be .1666 of 10 horsepower be giving high torque and high starting current enable to run
those applications [10]

5.6.2 CAPACITOR WITH RECTIFER

5.6.2 CAPACITOR WITH (HALVE WAVE & BRIDG RECTIFER)
Halve wave rectifier its circuit with two diodes one for each cycle wave [11] Fig. (12). in point A we have
one and another one is connected to point where the two diodes are connecting to winding transformer. In
secondary winding of transformer witch, it divided equally in to halves with common point C where we
have RL. This configuration results in each diode are connecting to have cycle of wave in common point C
as figure shown below. When point A of transformer is positive respect to point C Diode 1 will conduct in
forward direction so the current will follow through the lead in ( positive halve cycle ) .
Where point B is positive respect to point C diode D2 will conduct in forward direction and the current will
follow through RL in (negative half cycle) as Fig. (13)
We see the spaces in each half cycle of signal will filled by other diode half diode cycle that is causes the
dc current will move through the R load with voltage equal to 0.637 Vmax in (15) of the peak voltage
assuming the losses are neglected [11]

After we adding capacitor with full wave rectifier it is Another type of circuited [11] that produce wave
form full wave rectifier is the full wave bridge rectifier In this type of circuits uses four individual diodes
rectifying connecting in loop bridge to produce the output signal desired. In main benefit of this bridge
