Get Started with Fire TV Stick

To use Fire TV Stick, you need the following:

At minimum a basic Amazon account
Wireless Internet Connection (not included)
You need a wireless connection to stream content on Fire TV Stick.
High-definition TV (not included)
Fire TV Stick is compatible with high-definition TVs with HDMI ports.

Before using your Fire Stick you will need to create a FREE
amazon account using a computer or mobile device. Be sure to
remember your password used to create the account, you will
need it later.

Regular Maintenance
Regular maintenance should be performed at least Monthly on your Fire Stick to assure optimum performance.
1. Clear Cache - To clear cache go to: PROGRAMS > Maintenance Tools > General Maintenance > Clear Cache.
2. Purge Packages - To purge packages go to: PROGRAMS > Maintenance Tools > General Maintenance > Purge
Packages > You will see how many files will be purged. Click yes to confirm. You're done.
*** When going into Maintenance Tools or purge packages you may get a message "this feature is for advance
users would you like to continue" Click ok or yes to proceed. ***

Setting Up Your Fire Stick

Connecting to TV
After unboxing your Fire Stick attach the HDMI power cable
into the side of your stick. The stick will be powered by
either the power adapter included in your box or using a
USB port on your TV.
Registering Fire Stick
Now select the correct HDMI slot on your TV
Select that you already have an amazon account because
you created one before you started. Now enter your email
and password you selected.
Connecting to WiFi / Internet Connection
You will now need to connect to your wifi before you can
begin using your Fire Stick. You may get a message that
there is no network connection if so click on that message
that says network settings.
If you do not get this message, from the home screen go
down to Settings > go over and click on System > go down
to Network. Find Internet network and enter your wireless
password to connect if your network is secured.
Accessing Kodi For the First Time
If your do not visibly see "Classic TV" or "Ikono TV" on the
home screen or under Apps. Go to Settings > click on
Applications > Manage applications, and scroll down until
you see "Classic TV" or "Ikono TV"
Click on "Classic TV" or "Ikono TV" and Launch Application.
Now you have accessed all your free movie, and tv content.

Trouble Shooting Tips

Can't Connect to Wi-Fi
If you can't connect to a Wi-Fi network from Amazon Fire TV device, check that your wireless connection is
turned on.
Check this first:
Connect your Amazon Fire TV device to one of these network or router types:
Open, WEP, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK encrypted networks
B, G, and N routers on 2.4Ghz
A and N routers on 5Ghz
Hidden networks
Enable wireless connectivity on your Amazon Fire TV device. From the Home screen, select Settings >
System > Wi-Fi.
Make sure you know your network password (if required). If you see a lock icon, a network password is required.
This password is not your Amazon account password.
Make sure your Internet connection is not down. Restart your router and modem to solve most Wi-Fi
network issues.
Do not place your wireless router or Amazon Fire TV device in a cabinet, as it impacts your Wi-Fi signal strength.
Also, try this for Fire TV Stick:
Use the included HDMI extender to optimize the location of your Fire TV Stick. The HDMI extender can
improve your wireless connectivity by positioning your Fire TV Stick further from the TV.
Plug the power cord into the included power adapter and then into a wall outlet to ensure the device
receives enough power for optimal performance.
Still having trouble?
Restart your Amazon Fire TV device. Disconnect the power cord from your Amazon Fire TV device for
three seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
Tip: You can also restart your Amazon Fire TV device with your remote. Press and hold the Select button and the
Play
button at the same time until the Amazon Fire TV device restarts (about five seconds). Or go to Settings > System >
Restart.

Can't Pair a Remote or Game Controller

If you can't pair your Amazon Fire TV remote or wireless game controller, it may not be within
range or compatible.
If you're having problems with a third-party Bluetooth remote, go to Can't Connect a Bluetooth
Accessory to Amazon Fire TV.
Check this first:
If you have more than seven connected remotes or actively connected Bluetooth devices, turn one off.
For Fire TV Stick, use the included HDMI extender to optimize the location of your Fire TV Stick.
The HDMI extender can improve your remote connectivity by positioning your Fire TV Stick further
from the TV.
Do not place Amazon Fire TV in a cabinet, as it impacts signal strength to your remotes and game
controllers.
Your remote must be within 30 feet of Amazon Fire TV device.
Re-install the batteries. You have five minutes to pair your remote with your Amazon Fire TV
device before it goes into sleep mode.
If your remote isnt discovered, press the Home button for 5 - 10 seconds.
Still having trouble?
Restart your Amazon Fire TV device. Disconnect the power cord from your Amazon Fire TV device for
three seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Trouble Shooting Tips

I get a message saying my device has run out of storage or videos pause/buffer too often
Option 1:
If a certain stream buffers often, it could be that the stream is currently experiencing heavy traffic. Try another one
and come back to this one later.
Option 3:
If you have the Fire TV (box) you may add additional storage by inserting a USB drive in the included USB port on the
back of the device.
Option 4:
Purge old files on the Kodi by going to: Programs > Maintenance Tools App > General Maintenance click continue if
you get a message > Purge > OK "This should be done at least once a month to help with buffering issues.
If this problem persist we will reprogram or replace your stick FREE of charge.
*** IMPORTANT: Be careful not to accidentally clear the DATA as this will erase all add-ons and settings from Kodi ***

A movie I want to watch will not load, or says no available stream.

- Chances are that particular link is bad. Try the next available link until you find one that works. If you do not find one
that works, try another movie app or sometimes exit out and come back in and try the link again.

Movies I watch are buffering a lot.

- The buffering of movies will be determined by your Internet speed. With some providers even if you have high speed
you will still experience buffering issues. In areas where Time Warner Cable Internet is available, it has been found
that they have the best for streaming movies and live TV.

I was watching a movie and the app reverted back to the home screen.
- This can sometimes be due to Internet buffering issues or a link may be broken. Try another link or go back to the
same link, the movie will automatically resume from where it reverted back to the home screen.
1. Make sure you are doing at least monthly maintenance on your stick clearing the cache, and purging old files
If this problem becomes more frequent contact us and we will reprogram or replace your stick FREE of charge.
